What does consumashuns means?

I started watching this show recently and I am totally hooked up with it.. I was going through some post here and came across this word 'consumashuns' almost in every other post. Can someone please explain the exact meaning of this word? It does looks explicit though. lol

Its the carrot the CVs will dangle in front of us donkeys ie. the viewers, for 300+ episodes, to keep us glued to the show no matter how shitty it becomes.
