This is in reaction to that DC article where they claimed that Paro is submissive and I am shocked that someone watched the same show as I and actually ended up with that opinion!😲
I mean in which way in hell is Paro submissive? She doesn't do ANYTHING Rudra wants!😲 She does the things she wants!
Did Rudra want her to stand out on the rain? or did he want her to leave him alone and go?
He wanted her to go and she wanted to prove him she would stay and did the exact opposite!
This is the first heroin I have seen who does things that makes herself happy instead of bowing down to any1's will! The fact that her own desires r not evil doesn't mean she is a doormat! They still are her own choices even if they r positive and gentle choices instead of a decision to go all guns blazing and creating mayhem!!
Hell even that promo puts a stamp on that! - Paro is wearing the wedding dress! He can put any spin to the vachans be is 8 or 200 in to it, but he hasn't dragged her kicking and screaming to the mandap! She has been the one to drag him there albeit innocently!!
Naivety of Paro is vastly different to what we saw with Gopi bahu some 4 yrs back when the show started. She was DUMB and didn't have a spine and was submissive! Paro is intelligent and utterly stubborn! I have never seen a more stubborn girl than her in comparison to the situations that has been meted out to her! The fact that she is silent, docile and doesn't scream her head off doesn't mean she is submissive in any freaking way!!
honestly do we equate strength/independence of will/dominance to screaming?
do these people know that a woman/girl can be utterly feminine and refined and still be very very strong?
The fact this utterly feminine creature who seem to be the embodiment of all things feminine with an old world charm - be it the fragile stature to the gentleness of her manner all the while having silent dignity and quiet perseverance and strength of character and the endurance that makes women is a delight to watch!
This article makes me think that they r definitely watching a different show and honestly when a respectable media publication employs journalists who would equate a woman who fights for herself and is a devotee with earth shattering belief in the divine powers to being a submissive doormat just cz she doesn't scream her head off what can we say?
