I saw the episode of 12th feb on desi tashan today but in that Rudra only said that he did not take sugar and milk in his tea. Does that make him lactulose intolerant too. My father takes tea without milk and sugar but he does not have diabetes. It might be just his preference.
His father also asked PAro not to give him that tea because sweetness will harm the body. It was a general comment as it is a well known fact that too much sweet is bad for health whether you r diabetic or not. He did not mention Rudra in particular. He did not say that sweet would harm Rudra because he is diabetic or something like that. In fact that was a sarcastic remark as he seemed to have remembered the time when sweetness had harmed him, probably his wife's( as we had heard from people that she was a very sweet and beautiful woman). Any ways there was way too much sugar in that cup as Rudra had poured the whole cup of sugar in it. No one could actually tolerate that much of sweetness.
The post that you mentioned also mentioned 12th feb episode and in that episode there was no mention of diabetes, sugar ki bimari, sugar mana hai type words. Rudra has diabetes was just an inference made by the author of the post. It might be wrong.
Another important thing is that diabetic people cannot join combat posts in BSD. I am not sure abt the desk jobs but they do not go in the field. The conditions in the field r very bad. A diabetic person can function just fine if he or she is careful abt eating at short intervals and keeping their bodies well hydrated. Such conditions r not available on the field. In fact the soldiers face such hardships that they sometimes go with very less water and without food for days. A diabetic person would not survive such a situation (it would result in hypoglycaemia with deadly consequences) and survival is very important on field. You remember the fainting of the male lead of a popular show because of lack of food as he had diabetes. I know that it's nobody's fault but then the army cannot risk such situations on the field.
