The problem with Rudra is not that he is not capable of loving Paro, adoring Paro. He is capable of all this and so much more. The biggest problem with him is he is scared of all that he is capable of.

What do you think is going to run through his mind when Paro tells him it is her doll. See he loves that doll, he knows he is falling for Paro the moment the doll and Paro become one and the same what excuse does he give himself for not madly falling in love with that girl who he is always cherished. It is easy for Rudra to love an inanimate object because that is not going to walk out on him so he loves that doll as much as anything else as much as his dad but the moment doll becomes a living breathing Paro who has legs who can walk away he won't be happy infact his fears will exponentiate. If he is afraid now he is going to be more afraid when he realizes that Paro might be just that perfect she is his dream. A dream he will want to crush. Infact he could spin out of control and hate the doll too it was the only thing that gave him solace but now Paro has snatched that away from him and when he sees that doll he will see her which he is not ready for nor willing to accept.

His betrayal and anger towards his mom is not that she left him, but it is that he did something to maker her leave. What does that say about Rudra he is not someone who considers himself worthy, his mom left him how is that his fault but he doesn't see it that way, the little boy in him still blames himself.

The battle for Paro is not winning over Rudra he already is hers she won him a long time ago, her battle is to make him belive that she loves him too just as much he loves her if not more. She loves him the way he is and to remove this fear that grips his heart. What is love without trust it is agony that is what Rudra is going through he loves her but can't trust her, Paro trusts Rudra now but doesn't love him not the way he needs her to because he is no longer a kid who will refuse to drink milk he is a man who can do worst can paro love such a man he needs to see that she can and she needs to believe that she will.
