Riding your phatphatiya
Lift your open hand with chutki bhar sindoor

Oh yes definitely. I would love to run my hands on that gorgeous hair but his wife might have objections. 😆

Sorry for ruining your beautiful post with some pretty stupid lines which don't even rhyme or make any sense. 😭

But I hope Major sa won't let us down with an almost kiss scenario 😡

Frankly everyone has failed her in her life, the women in her life, the women in this house, and definitely all the men, who all seem hell bent on destroying her life though marriages. I wish the CVs would show her sorrow at these constant betrayal of trust. I'm still annoyed that she is being shown running after him and doing all she can for his forgiveness. What did she do wrong but trust the people in her life who has done nothing but hurt her time and time again.

Bang on post girl!
I was puzzled when he said- 'byaah karegi?' and I thought if you asked her to marry Sumer, tab toh challenge banta but then I laughed at the absurdity of my thought. But seems Rudy boy caught my random brain wave and actually put up a bizarre proposal and that too with lacs of money in tow!

May be the jealously track is on way and Rudra will get trapped in his own web but honestly, that proposal ruined Rudra's character for me in many ways. How different was he from Thakur or Varun? Those were screwed up brains oozing selfishness already but Rudra? Kill the girl instead if you feel that she tried to roast your father to death but why rip off her spirit? Marry a creep who can possibly trade her off later for money more than 13 lacs offered by someone else!

I just feel sad about the fact that the TV creatives take women's honour and child abuse themes SO lightly and highly acceptable and part and parcel of every day life!

I SO wish Parvati compares her with Thakur and Varun and show her hurt and shock over the proposal. But looking at the promo, I kinda doubt that too.

You have raised some valid points here.
In my opinion both Paro and Rudra are victims of betrayel.
If Rudra is betrayed by his mother , Paro is betrayed by Tejawath and Varun. Tejawath was a father figure to her and Varun, she dreamed a life with Varun, but it's not been a week she realized that she was betrayed by Tejawath and Varun. Come on she is a village girl who trusts in the institution of marriage and just a few days before she understood that the marriage with all the rituals was fake, and if she crossed the border, then Varun would have sold her.
Most of the time Rudra irritates me. He believed his father when he said that his mother left him , he didn't even probe the reason behind it. He believed the words of Sunheri and Mohini that Paro tried to kill his father, he didn't investigate whether their accusation against her is valid. And when Paro begs his forgiveness, he wants her to agree the marriage with Sumer to prove her innocence. What rubbish yaar ? More than the title Rangrasiya I feel vivah or shaadi is apt. I mean in four months we have watched 1 fake shaadi, 1 almost shaadi and a proposal to one day fast track Shaadi.

And what test is that ? If he genuinely wants the proof, he could use other methods. I feel he treat her like a toy , when he wants the signature, he blackmails her with the marriage and its consequence, when he wants to avoid her , he bribes Sumer and asked her to marry him to prove the innocence.

Like in most shows Cv's are least bothered about the agony and the self respect of the female lead.

FLS.. hear you loud and clear. Great post😃 The fact that Mohini had most indignation on hearing the "deal" in a room filled with family members included Paro was not a great preview of what is to come😕.. having said that the scene is far from over. Dazzle us Paro baisa with your reaction and rebuttal.😊

The Shiva-Parvati story is all fine, but testing began after Parvati realizes she is in love and wanted to marry Shiva. Did Paro realize what she is feeling for Rudra is something more than gratitude? Wait.. dont tell me that the 2 seconds almost declaring her feelings for him yesterday was part of that😲😲 that too just a week after she is free from any MU?

I still cannot believe GH is part of the team that gave us the fantastic "Kuch rishte ajeeb he dor mein bandhe hote hain..." scene.. it happened after 250 episodes, after a tumultuous journey. Paro when given glimpses of is very well written.. but such scenes are too far and too few in between.

I agree that I was miffed to see Rudra bribe Sumer to marry Paro. One thing that kept coming to my mind was if Sumer could marry Paro for money, he would definitely sell her for the same money. What difference is there between Rudra, Varun and Sumer? They were/ are willing to sell Paro as if she is a commodity rather than a woman with feelings, values and beliefs.

@FairyLiquidSoap, can't tell you how glad I am to see this post. On reading some posts here yesterday I wondered whether I was the only one who found this twist extremely distasteful. I'm happy to see so many think the same. Frankly, the more I watch this show, the more I'm convinced that Saurabh Tiwari read Othello but gave his creative team a copy of Hamlet to read through. Rudra is a far cry from Othello any which way you see him. His insecurity and self-doubt is more akin to Hamlet, and the way he deals with Paro is similar to Hamlet's interaction to Ophelia - one which drove her to insanity and death. I would really want to watch Paro's reaction to this proposal before commenting further on this "twist" because her words in the promo did not seem to me as an indication that SHE would propose marriage to Rudra, but more as a rebuttal of his proposal to marry Sumer.

I agree with @savvy05 regarding the Shiv-Parvati reference. I have always found that to be a convenient religious parallel drawn in many posts here (and also by the CVs) just because of their names. It is the basis of the whole assumption that is wrong. If we read the scriptures, the whole premise that Shiva/ Rudra is Parvati/Sati's "protector" is the biggest myth. Shiva's consort - be she known as Sati or Parvati - is Shakti, or the supreme power. She signifies the highest power that all Gods turn to; when innumerable demons assailed the Gods challenging their invincibility, they invoked Shakti to destroy them. So it is not that She was the protected, She is in fact the "protector" herself - and in every sense the "equal". It is this that does not yet resonate in the show's story, and therefore makes it seem shallow.

If this is all for the TRPs, as most defendants of the show's unfathomable twists seem to be saying, then it would risk a further dip if it does not find favour with the viewers. And I say this as part of the TRP audience, that is, one who watches the show at prime time. These attempts at sensationalism without a strong rudder to hold the show afloat is wearing my patience thin now. And it does give credence to the new joke floating in India that this show is meant for overseas and online viewers and will pander to their fancies. Sorry, couldn't resist mentioning this, but if some statements of the channel are an indication, this certainly seems to be the case. 😊
