You said it Sush, We did hang on and support them in Rudra's absence. But Parud is the big draw here ... Whatever they show would not have been enough. We thought we learnt a lesson from before, but sorry missing the lead is just that...missing him. They could have atleast shown much more of Paro and her inner thoughts with a lot of flashbacks. Forget fast forwarding, I was just content to read the WUs. Now there is just this yhm show which is interesting in its own way. The power of the remote is very strong. Im waiting for Wednesday, they say the show will be back on track then.

It is a pity that no matter how hard the Creatives try, sub-plots and parallel story lines never grab the audience's attention sufficiently.
RR had started airing with a month's bank of episodes this ensuring that minor illnesses, holidays would not impact the show or its viewing pleasure. However, The impact of Ashish's illness has shown that within two months the story line has been tweaked so much that the episode bank has been relegated to the garbage heap and sub-plots, parallel story lines, etc (no matter how well conceived or executed) have no takers.

This is beginning to sound like a very familiar path that the once famous IPKKND followed - fandom sounded the death knell on its favourite show by flooding it with love.

Sorry to say this on your thread Sush, but yours is one of the very few that have an open minded discussion. How does a PH tell a story when faced with such pressures?

Without Rudra being there ...this drama holds little interest for me...

Yes, yes...he made a brief appearance, you say...but that was a reminder of what has been missing...

Any way...loved
Paro theek hei? And
Call him...he will make everything alright....❤️❤️

The rest of it was aiwain...all that natak and all I have no interest in that...😕
I was like...OK...whatever...lets move it...so the plot is for Paro to get kidnapped...lets get it done and over with...
Liked the spirited Paro in the precap...but one Dubli Patali Paro ...and 4 muchchad men...and one traitor ...we know which way it will go...

Same here my dear without rudra this drama hold no interest for me too and I am really lucky to miss yesterday's episode...thanks to my guest.

The parallel story lines are so entwined with the male lead's character that they fail to work beyond a point.

We signed up for the Paro-Rudra story, and the individual stories on Paro and Rudra. Force feeding us the negative KCM at a stretch is just a bit too much.

I just accept that she had to go because that's what's needed for whatever the next step in the story is. Maybe Paro will see Bheema's face and recognize him as one of Thakurs men, or may be not. Maybe Rudra will appear from somewhere and rescue them but then again may be not or maybe it'll just give Rudra a reason to yell at the family and at PAro and give another eyelock situation, it doesn't matter . I found the kidnapping track funny and the only time I was having issues was when we saw so little of Paro because the presence of one lead at least is necessary. The last show I fell in love with depended on the leads together for it's existence and I'm glad that RR is focusing on other characters too. Someone said that the show had a months worth of episodes banked, I thought they said 10 days and then they had to make allowances for Tarun's paternity leave so I'm not sure how much they've deviated from the original story to placate trp audiences. Where I think they may have made changes are in intensity in the violent scenes and I'm guessing in the explicitness of the RuLa scenes.
My main issues with the plot is not knowing what's going on in Paro's head but that's been debated extensively so no need to go down that road again.
I guess it's personal preference, some people find the show boring without relevant Paro scenes and some without Rudra and yet another group that wants jodi scenes. Abhinav Shukla very clearly said this is a family story with a love story so those who want only the love story are going to be disappointed.

Actually only family stories work in the long run...it is good to balance it out... In ipk they neglected the parallel tracks so badly that without one lead nobody was willing to watch the show...it was like the cream was gone ... ..

I am glad they are giving meat to the side characters... When their story is on we may not watch the reruns.. But at least one prime time viewing toh banta hai..

I am sure... family stories work...and all popular serials have them...I am not a soap watcher in that sense...

Having said that...last week worked quite well, after Rudra was gone ...and I found Sumair and KCM to be very entertaining together...It was funny...but yesterday just didn't work...it was very boring...and forced...

Thanks everyone for sharing your thoughts...

We'll just have to agree to disagree as to last night's episode being boring and forced as I enjoyed it😊

I will be the target audience for shows written for specific period of time...with a crisp story to tell...and get done when the story is over...watching something for years...is not important to me...

Any way, wasn't trying to convince you of my point of view just stating it...Disagreement is cool with me...

I am glad the episode clicked for you...

Me too.I really liked yesterday's episode and most importantly the precap.
I have learned to leave my brains outside of the body when watching Hindi serial.learned my lesson from expecting too much of IPK.'i have also learned all these online venting of frustration is not going to affect the CV's writing of the story.no matter what we say the CV's will always follow their protocol.
having said that,I have really enjoyed the serial the last one week without Rudra,it brough out the best in the supporting actors.
though Mohini can be over the edge most of the time, her thinking on her feet impressed me a lot.I was actually looking forward to see how she will get mythili out of this mess.she is a shrewd business woman.
I even like Sumer, though a lallu,he has a good screen presence.he can act goofy and look like a fool all he wants.

the same thing happened in IPK too.Fans wanted only ARHI scenes.so the supporting characters were sidelined in such a way that there was no redemption.and the sad part was Cvs bowed to the wishes and in the end there was no story and fans were still disappointed.Hope the CVs don't make that mistake again.so Parud scenes, paro scenes or Rudra scenes, everything should be intricately woven so as when one of them is not present, others should carry the work on their shoulders,
Though we have leads in the serial,a daily soap is teamwork.

Hi DN2012...so which one is it? CVs change the story or dont change the story for the fans?😃
Any way...dont answer that...😊
Look...some people may have liking for something, others may not...it is everyones perogative to like what interests them and what doesnt. I think it is also important to take what anyone is saying in the context and not project it beyond...Because I didnt like Mondays episode...does not mean that I think all supporting cast has no talent, or that I am giving a message to the CVs to write a story a certain way...I did not say any of that. All I do is share an honest opinion about each episode ,,,,,which is what it is...I am not going to tell the CVs on how to write a story...but I can tell them what worked for me or what didnt...that is if I am motivated enough to write about it on IF...
Any way as always appreciate all points of views...thanks for sharing and my apologies to all the posts that I didnt have a chance to respond to individually...
