@FLS I missed 4 episodes in the middle and caught up yesterday. Felt like I missed nothing at all. I feel ya.

sigh they have some fab sets direction quite cutting edge for soaps a stellar ensemble cast and 2 leads who can spin magic damn TRP biddies

This whole "old wine in new bottle" thing is done to death with, I agree most say the limitations set by rules and regulations don't give too much scope to be different but they can avoid being predictable and boring.

The show starts with a lot of promise to fizzle out for no reason, far from being engaging they force you to question yourself for spending time viewing them.

I agree. I think RR started off really well, I loved the first 3 weeks of the show. But ever since they started this family drama, it's boring. Kaki is over the top in everything and really offensive too. And the writers are clearly doing this for the TRPs. Apparently, low TRPs means more kitchen politics, and clichd female vamps need to be shown but that's not true. Slow and steady wins the race. Instead of experimenting and changing storylines, they should stick to the original plot and do what they had planned. They are falling in the trap of the TRPs.
