Aah Evie😊 ( Can i call you that?). Now this is what i was pondering over the other day, post the breakfast scene.
Dilsher then: Some times you're filled with such venom that i cannot help the pride i feel.

Makes me ponder over his brand of parenting. When his wife left him he was heart broken, left with a bruised ego and hurt pride. Did he then seek to bring Rudra up in such a way that his little boy wouldn't feel such helplessness or vulnerability ? Did he fill him with so much hatred just so he'd remain immune to the harshness the world could throw his way? Was that his way of teaching Rudra a lesson? Repeat it over and over until it was ingrained so deeply that there was no escaping it?

Dilsher today: Don't let that one incident from your past define you. Don't let the poison consume you.

Children have a simple mindset. They imbibe what you teach through your words and actions. Dilsher was in a dark place when he left the haveli with Rudra. He probably needed a friend, a sibling or an equal, a support system. The kind who know you need to rave and rant sometimes and that somethings you say are probably just window dressing for all your hurt. His words today made me conclude that some of his words from the past were probably exactly that. Window dressing.

No one told Rudra that though.

What Dilsher was left with all those years back was an innocent little boy who was equally hurt and confused. Not someone you rave and rant to or lean on. Like a diligent student that little boy learnt the lesson his father had been repeating over the past 15 years. He was only a child. He didn't have the freedom to take it or leave it.

Today Dilsher wishes his son would marry a nice girl and be happy.

What he didn't realize was that he'd been teetering on a double edged sword with his brand of parenting. Teach one hatred and hope he still remembers compassion? Today was a rude awakening indeed.

I wonder too. Is it too late? Can Paro help?

Well said.
As the saying goes we reap what we sow.
Here Rudra has just proven that to his father that what he had said and done to him as a child is now what he is seeing.

true...the grooves are set, the old program etched deep...carved in stone..

Hopefully there is some light in the tale and we see that love transforms, rewrites the old program...

but it will be a long road no doubt

Hope colors keeps the faith and allows the story to play out as planned...:)

In real life it's very difficult to erase the feeling of a parent's betrayal and abandonment...especially, a mother's...it's a scar that cannot be erased on fine day. The damage has been done and I am sorry to say this but in real life an individual suffering such circumstances is incapable of leading a normal life ...being in a steady relationship is not fathomable. Paro cannot change him neither can act as a calming balm because unfortunately her whole existence has been destroyed by the same person.
I don't know where this story is going but I do feel that the makers have taken this huge risk in bringing in too much negativity in the lead's already very troubled individual existence. It's not possible in any dire situation for a woman to fall in love with a man who has murdered her husband nor for a man to fall in love with any woman when he has been abandoned by his mother...that is the ultimate betrayal. Knowing this it makes me wonder that Rudra is actually committed to Laila in a very weird way...he is been with her for 8 long years... I want the makers to justify this because 8 years of sexual relationship is a commitment itself. It's messed up Rudra's character as a person and as an army officer.

I feel that the story needs to have some kind of positivity ...everything is very negative right now from all directions.

I agree.
But somehow I pity him too 😭

What also I see is that age has softened Dilshar. Moreover Paro baisa & the prospect of having pota-poti has made him soft 😆

Excellent articulated analysis. Dilsher has made his bed of bitterness, pain, rejection and betrayal. Now he must lay in what he has created. Bitter pills for both father and son. But out of these bitter and ugly ashes God can redeem them to beauty again but we need a angels to fight for both father and son. Paro has been sent for this purpose. It will not be pretty nor will it be quick but it will happen. Beauty will come out of these ashes...

This is also true in reality Eveline...

Hi Eve,

Very well written. As you sow, so shall you reap. Papa Ranawat realizes it today and wants his son to marry just to prove a point to his sis-in-law ( if I understood it correctly) only to hear the bitter truth from his son.

Papa Ranawat can thank his stars that his son met somebody named Paro who is going to fix his son and then he can be guilt free for the rest of his life.😛

Evie😆

Hmmm we reap what we sow, our actions have consequences. Rudra is the person he is today because of Dilsher's folly. What he did with Rudra cannot be wrapped up in any way other than wrong. But we forget Dilsher being a father is first and foremost a human too.
A person ridden with shock, grief and betrayal! He didn't get the chance to heal himself and make peace with what had happened. Instead he had to face humiliation and taunts from family, society as well as his young son's questions of where and when his mother will return.

The coping mechanism he used then was to turn their child against the person who had betrayed them. It was a low blow. But people who are going through personal hell, for them right becomes like a curse, a noose around the neck, & wrong provides the needed satisfaction to salvage their broken heart and pride.

Rudra despite all the poison he was raised in, may not be a social person, may run from feelings, attachment, beautiful women. Despite all this he is a good person, loyal, he can associate with others pain and will protect his own with his life.

Nobody in life is perfect . We all have our share of insecurities and weaknesses, some more than others. Once Paro develops feelings for him she will suffer at Rudra's hand caused by his parents. Hopefully Dilsher , will attempt to right his wrong slowly through Paro then.

Very intresting and well put post 👍🏼
on the question about it being late

No its not too late its never too late, if poison is running through his vanes then paro is the cure,

If he is already infected then paro is his part that isn't

If fire is his fuel then paro is the tsunami

If there is a 2nd chance in life then paro is it

Your right life doesn't grant people 2 chances but light shines on all and i believe all the pain he has gone through paro is the remedy

Kismatt laughed in his face when he was young but the light is here to pave the way for him and that is paro

That's what hurts...he messed up big time and now he is saddling poor Paro with his life's messed up work...knowing full well that she will end up suffering at Rudra's hands...
