Arrogance. Aggression. Megalomania. Ego. Pride. The Snob Nose. These are very volatile vices and the first thing they teach you is that you are not malleable , that you were born a steel rod and you will die a steel rod - never bending , never melting and always vertical, even when age bends your spine.

Do such people bend at all in their lives? Do they ever drop their arrogant eyebrows for a few seconds? Well, they do. At times. For someone they hold affection for. For someone who is more important than their ego. For someone who will never be told that they are melting points, but the snobs will melt for sure. Why? Just so that the loved one in question is safe, protected and wrapped in warmth. Most of the time in such cases, the protected one doesn't know that the rod had bent . No surprises. Even to admit that you bent a little for someone is a question of ego for the melting snobs.

Today, Rudra has done exactly what I have mentioned above. He melted, he bent , he calmed, he became elastic - For Paro. He apologized to the workers, touched Mausam aunty's feet in pseudo-apology , bound himself back to the haweli and family , just so that Paro can live. Rudra would never do it , but the Rudra who wanted to protect Paro did it. Against his ego, his personality, his character - he behaved like a wolf in fake sheep skin . For Paro. Its another thing that you can see it on Rudra's face and his body language that all this Golden Globe winning performance is a farce , and that he will take his canine teeth and claws the moment Paro settles in the house as his fiancee , but for Rudra to even pretend to be a mythical loving son of the house is a Herculean Effort.

But he has done it for someone he claims to hate , someone he says he doesn't care about , someone whom he equates the same as cattle in his backyard verbally. Is it love? No. Not yet. Its his passionate protective instinct for a woman he is beginning to get attached to. Tejawat and story have long gone into the backburner - its more about the emotional tension that he feels between her and himself.

That said, we are still not at that point where Rudra's steel rod would stay bent for a long time. His oh-so-fake " Aaiye aapse kucch baat karnee hai" soon turns into an aggressive and intense pinning to wall and locking position exercise, where he reminds Paro that she should keep shut , not talk to anyone and better not step out of the house. The sheep skin takes a backseat and the conditioned predator comes to fore.

And Paro? Silent but strong. Staying true to her strong spirit , inspite of being terrified of Rudra , she reminds Rudra that she is not the one to run away. She tells him that she will do what he says because she knows that her silence will kill him , one day, and he will be on his knees. She is still waiting for the day when he will be kneeling defenceless in front of her. But you can see it on her face and the way the story is going , that even if that day comes, she herself is not sure what she will do. ...Just to remind you about Paro's sleeping beauty act during the Veer-Zara sequence . Paro was not awake to see how Rudra looked after her , she did not see that there was no anger or hatred in his eyes. That is why she can tell Rudra today that his only fear is that she will run away . If only she knew that its so not true. He is doing all this tooth and nail fight so that she stays alive. And no, her being the prime witness is a plastic reason. Paro thinks she is being caged and Rudra is trying to protect her. How different is the situation and Paro's inference of it. Not her fault. Rudra does not wear the sheep skin in front of her.

Anyway, the most foreshadowing part was Maithli and Sunehri telling Paro that she and Rudra were always meant to be. And Paro, even with the most gloomy thoughts , realizes that she has Rudra in her life because she asked for him from Lord Shiva. This truth will remain but as we move ahead, Paro's reading of it will change.

For the rest, i loved Maithli's happy and mischievous run and chase play with Sunehri in the haweli - she looked as happy and free as you want to see Paro. Sunehri's innocent wait for the boy in the picture was awww. She loves her weight in a cute manner. Mausam aunty's and Rudra's eye-war was explosive. It seemed Rudra was insulting her by touching her feet if you see the snobbish wave on his face. Samrat was useless but kind of happy to see Rudra and Paro back. Mausam aunty wants to play saas-bahu with Rudra, not Paro. Its only going to help the two of them.

Chaachu Sa should stop trying to suffocate Rudra with a re-make of Sooraj Barjataya's "Hum Saath Saath Hain" , because he knows why Rudra has returned to the haweli with Paro.

Aman was supercool. He admitted that their plan has gone for a swing , and is full of loopholes , but whatever damage control they can do , they must do.It makes you think that the operation was fine in thought and strategy, its the execution which went haywire - and Paro's take on Tejawat only made it worse for Rudra. But then, that was Providence. It was never about the arms smuggle or Tejawat. It was about Rudra and Paro crossing paths to be tied forever, and guide each-other to the sunlight.

well i agree with your view. Today the fear and the worry we saw in rudra's oh so sexy eyes was not just because of his duty...he has become attached to paro...he cares for her and he knows he is the only one who is keeping her alive. He reeked of Posessive behavior...someone dared threatened his captive. And ya...rudra did bend his ego for paro...thats why he clawed at her in their private conversation...sure these are signs of him getting attached...all i would liketo quote here is the famous line by Stephenie meyer..."and so the lion fell for the lamb" now would the lamb accept and forgive the lion remains to be seen...i did love paro's strenght and her quiet conviction...her silence is gonna kill him...slowly and steadly...first because she wont be of any help to his case...coz she didn't see anything...that would ruin rudras case against thakur and then when he realizes she is innocent...the guilt will kill him...
So the lesson paro learned today is Beware what you wish for...you just might get it...
and the lesson Rudra learnt is...We are family
loved suneri and Maithili...thank god there are some sane people in that horror haveli...for paro...i loved todays episode...cant wait for tomorrow

I somehow couldnot take it well that paro remembered with so much regret that flashback of her saying her wish to Bholenath and that wish got granted ( I actually loved that scene when it was aired, how they showed Parvati's wish for a soulmate who shares His name and the scene immediately jumped to rudra)...couldn't she see ,as a great Shiva devotee, that it is His wish that tied Pro with Rudra perhaps for some greater reason, infact she never seem to remember that Rudra was her savior from those abusers and even took bullets for her.

Beautiful post as always vickysa 😊
Its so nice to be back in the forum though truely will be in the active mode from thursday ...

Managed to see the episode on tv tonight , scenes which stayed with me ...

Rudra giving a sly glare to chachisa when chacha says that this house belongs to dilsher and therefore rudra.

Rudra bending to touch her feet , something which surprises her ..

When rudra says " aap zara idhar aayeye " I almost grinned ...that must have taken some effort from the jallad ...😆 The scene between paro- rudra when paro tells him that " her being quiet is his biggest defeat " and how rudra reacts in anger ...as he doesn't get the best of the situation.
Sanaya and ashish are so good together , they take a scene to a different level ..I know romance is far ahead but they will sizzle together when it happens ...

The last scene was when paro says one should be careful what one wishes for ...I like the way the CV's close all loops of the story ...

It was nice to see maithali running around with sunehari like a carefree girl in the haveli ...till mausam bigado chachi turned up 😆 Who btw is one sharp lady ...has caught on already that paro is not rudra's finance ...she trusts nobody , neither her younger son nor anybody else ...

Good episode overall ...I like the way all ranawat household characters have been shown with each of their distinctive characteristics ...

Thanks Sneha.😳...Yes, Rudra is becoming possessive and how. Even when Sunehri was taking Paro away, the way he reacted physically - it reeked of possessive behaviour. Chaachu Sa had to keep him in check. Its not about the witness and Tejawat anymore on the inside for Rudra. That is why his extreme emotions for Paro and his frustration also shows. I think the guilt will kill both of them. Rudra will have to accept that Paro is completely innocent and Paro will have to accept that he didn't kill her husband and in-laws - he kept her alive and safe, instead.

Sunehri and Maithli seem to adore Paro and Rudra. Good news.😃

That is a great post... You have a great way with words.👏

Rudra did surprise me... simply because i thought he wouldnt give up his pride even if he was merely pretending... i was so sure, he would tell Mohini, 'You apologize to my Dad, i will apologize to you' and that would be end of the scene. I was shocked when he bent down to touch her feet. I had a lump in my throat when he told his Chachu not to make his helplessness his punishment. I just hope he figures out the reason why he is going through what is really a torture for him...
For me, his gesture today was the grandest

And Paro... she wants him on his knees... and the day that happens, she is going to be just as broken!

Thank you, Shreya.😃...You will see that flashback again and with Paro's changed perception and feelings. Today, she thinks that she is tied with Rudra for suffering. Tomorrow, in hindsight, she will know that she is tied with Rudra so that both she and him can stop suffering. Right now, everything is too explosive, veiled and misunderstood between her and him. Paro , in her subconscious mind , knows that Rudra is her family and her protector - but for her to let all the veils drop and see everything in transparency, she needs to travel to that point with Rudra.

Ego is a slow and unseen fire within which burns slowly but completely. That is what we will see who will burn and who will come out of it pure .😊
