Sure...you describe Paro very well indeed! 👍🏼
I do have to say...that calm resolve does not necessarily require urban upbringing...In Sanayas portrayal of Khushi...Khushi was from modest background and an orphan girl, although from a town no a village...but she knew one thing...she could do anything for her adopted family...this aspect seems quite similar to that of Paro...don't you think?
Thank you Sush. 😊
Yes, quiet demeanour, innocence and calm neither means dumb or weak. She is not of the feisty nature but she cares for her loved ones dearly and it was shown repeatedly. Her resourcefulness was seen when she converted the sewing machine into a vegetable cutting device for her mamisa, she was upset that she was not able to finish all her chores for her aunt before her sudden marriage. She also has her wits about her, but for Bheendi's insistence she would not have taken a lift in the van where the goons attacked her. Her first show of defiance was when she told Thakursa that her won't leave without locating Bheendi first, after Thakhur convinced her that he will rescue Bheendi she agreed to leave for the border.
The only reason she did not kill herself or returned to Rudra from Birpur is because she does not want to out her mamisa and be a cause of trouble for Thakur and Thakurayan who were her guardians. Rudra threatened to destroy her village and everyone she loved if she did something to herself and then she heard his plan too. She would rather face her nightmares then be cause of destruction of her village and loved ones. We saw that repeatedly on Friday, in flashbacks and her thoughts. Her strength comes from belief in Bolenath, who blessed her new mission, her loyalty to her dear ones, and her innate belief that everyone has some redeeming qualities. She is resolved to prove her innocence as all other roads are closed to her now.
