I know sanz said this character is not a strong woman ...
But my question is how do we define a strong woman?
My point is does a strong woman always have to fight, scream out loud, slap??????
Isn't there something called inner strength ?
These kind of people may not be called as emotionally volatile as rudra...
But that doesn't mean they are weak...
Doesn't it take lot of courage to stay alive after such atrocities???
I mean this character will evolve as story progresses...but just because she doesn't scream, slap doesn't mean she is weak...
Firstly, Sanaya never said Paro is not strong, she said that she will become strong eventually, but the first instinct of any girl in her situation would be fear, which is a natural instinct after being threatened, arrested, and having no clue why or no one to help.
Paro, unlike Bindi, has always been shy and demure. She has always be plagued by her nightmares of BSD that took away her parents and fire which burnt them. She is not very educated, never stepped out of her village, followed what elders taught her and has a simple dream of getting married and finally having a family and home of her own.
All her dreams have been destroyed, she lost Bindi, saw her husband getting killed, and her village and mamisa abandoned her, all in the matter of few days. She is in custody of BSD and under the vigil of the man who blew her husband's brain. It's a terrifying situation for any woman. She has no idea why her life has taken such a terrible turn. Now, even her existence has been erased, none of her loved ones will look for her anymore. So, the first instinct would be shock, confusion, extreme fear and that is what she is going through.
She has shown courage too, despite the degradation of her life she has not lost her mental balance, refusing to lie to escape captivity, does not want to jepordise her villagers. It takes courage to stand by truth in adverse situation. She has not grovelled in front of Rudra, prefers dying then bending to his wishes. Has looked straight in his eye and accused him, despite her fear. It takes lots of guts for a woman in her situation to do so.
No one becomes brave overnight, it is circumstances and experience and how we handle crisis that determine if we are strong or weak. Paro just found her life spiralling down and is still grappling with her rapidly changing life. She is still registering what all is happening to her and her internal fears of BSD etc. She has no clue why this is happening, she wants to run to her safety and care, her mamisa's place and Rudra caught her and brought her to this unknown haveli. Paro's strength will grow as she finds answers, tackles and solves her problems and eventually falls in love with a tough guy Rudra. This story is about this journey as much as it is of Rudra's to find healing, love and calm.
