I think his wounds have become infected. I wondered about his stamina too, Z. I mean, he can't even walk straight. Priorities, Major Sa, priorities. You can indulge in the ding dong later too. But this brought out some other facets of his personality- he doesn't want to show his vulnerability to Laila. He doesn't want to be in a position where he owes her his gratitude. So, no dressing. Also, I feel like he knows she loves him and wants more from him. But he continues to visit her, offers her no emotional bonding and gets straight to business. This might be crude, and it wont portray him in a good light, but I'll say it anyway. It's as if he is punishing her for being beautiful, as if by denying this beautiful woman his love, he is taking revenge for the other beautiful woman( his mom) who left him to a loveless childhood. Because this time he is in control.
P.S. About Paro shooting him- the girl is in PTSD, she's been deprived of food and water, she watched her husband die. She is in a very fragile state of mind. I think the killer's plan is to twist her already disturbed and disoriented mind , and instigate her to shoot Rudra. Obviously the other officers/jawaans will probably shoot in retaliation. So Thakur manages to get rid of both of them. One stone, two birds.
