Ashish was brilliantly in-character throughout the episode. You couldn't look at anyone else when he was in the frame.

It was a great episode. Extraordinary in the world of daily soaps. And executed with both scale and style. Memorable!

It was an outstanding episode ! ...Kudos to Ashish as Rudra👏 and the entire RR team.

Thank you Sonia.😊
It was a very memorable episode. In my mind, Rudra is now firmly associated with patriotism, honour, extraordinary valour, strength, brutal rage. But also with humanity, tenderness and vulnerability. Teamwork at its best.

Thank-you. I know even if I don't watch the epi that your post will do me good. But something is puzzling me. Aren't these people Indian? I mean they look Indian. And would Paro be allowed to get married to somebody who is not Indian? Anyway, I'm looking forward to today's epi. (Haven't seen it yet.) From comments, it seems like there wasn't much of her today. Hopefully, it will be better tomorrow.

Thank you, that's very kind of you.😊 I must say that I always look forward to your comments.
My understanding, and I may be wrong, is that Paro's baraatis are from across the border, and hence from another country. I think what the serial is trying to show is that Paro's baraatis are smuggling in guns into India to the Thakur in exchange for Indian Rupees, which they take back across the border. The baraatis are also from the same community as Paro, but separated by the border, and hence marriages are considered viable even across the border. Plus, never forget, the Thakur encourages this tradition of inter-marriage, reinforcing the porous nature of the border.

Agreed, it was a break from all the drama-at-home sort of fare that is the norm on TV. The action had different undertones from what we usually see in that it was not as a result of eve-teasing, but out of patriotism, and in the line of duty. The situation demanded that the violence take place on a different scale. Hence the prolonged and unrelenting violence, which made for uncomfortable viewing at times.

I agree with you.

Today's epic episode is all about Rudra! The strongest element of his character, that he is first and foremost an uncompromising and valiant patriot!

As far as character sketches go, that was a very strong shade of patriotism in which the CVs painted him yesterday. Rudra's extraordinary courage in the line of duty should have him nominated for a medal at the very least. There should be no doubt now where his priorities lie, i.e with defending the country. Yet, at the same time, the CVs showed Rudra unable to perform his duty when faced with Paro, whom he considers his enemy. Are the priorities changing, I wonder.
