Wonderful post ... how did I miss it! Beautifully written!!
The Thakur announced the advance of the wedding: thanks to the BSD, which wanted to create a ruckus at the wedding, he said, the ceremony would take place that very night. No matter the inconvenience to the guests, the hosts, or the bride and groom.
On his part, Rudra armed Aman with a fake Search Warrant to enter the haveli before the baraatis left, while the evidence was intact. The marriage-as-cover-for-gunrunning racket would be busted. All the criminals would be nailed. Collateral damage was not a key consideration.

So true ... both ruthless men ... one in the pursuit of power, the other in the pursuit of his duty ... neither spare a thought to the collateral damage ... the dreams and hopes of one orphan girl and boy.

My memorable Scene of the Day was when Paro refuses to leave without saying goodbye to Binduri. The Thakur, realising the imminent danger, is forced to give her an explanation, and conveniently attributes Bindi's disappearance to being picked up by "that BSD officer who pretended to rescue you". At this Paro staggers, and loses control. In an edited wedding ceremony that scene was critical, and Sanaya played it with confidence. 👏👏

I loved that scene, not only because it was superbly acted ... but because it showed that meek, demure Paro has a spark, a will, a voice of her own ... it surfaces very rarely, because so far there has been no major upheaval in her life after her parents' death ... but it will come to the fore soon, when she has lost everything she holds dear.

Beautiful post!

Beautiful post!

Thank you. 😊
@ Bold Soon, I think, both the Thakur and Rudra will be more concerned about defeating the other, with power and duty relegated to mere excuses for their fight. And they will both use any and every means available to them, even if that is a grieving newly-widowed girl.
@Bold Yes, the signs are all there. She was strong enough to survive being orphaned young. And now she will survive again, and grow (albeit painfully) into womanhood. I think Rudra has a few shocks in store for him.
