Lol.. ok thanks for ur pov..i would for now leave it at saying i disagree..

Also i find it offensive that u have summed up an entire career filled with completely versatile characters as simple and cute..well thanks to that one line now i know in which attitude i should take ur posts in. Cz i honestly thought ur last topic with the swear words was objective despite being against the main opinion.
Watch gunjan and khushi..there is not an iota of similarity bw the 2.
Watch rkb n tell me in which way she is anything like either of the above roles..
Watch the sameera in LRL n tell me how she is like gunjan? Or for that matter how she as a pampered little brat is anything like the orphaned khushi?

I guess i dont need to say anything else to point out how objective ur opinion is at wroting off the show and actors within 3 days..

You know, this is too early to judge the show. It has just completed 3 days of its run. Rudra just entered yesterday and therefore we can't complain that he hasn't done anything. His entry was one of the most well-shot and executed entries of TV. His character has just come in the story and soon will reach Beerpur, so I guess we will see more of him from now on. As much as Sanaya and her roles is concerned, though I never watched any of her previous shows, but I saw bits and pieces. So I don't find her roles repetitive or monotonous and I am being as unbiased as I can be. She was bubbly in one...conserved and shy in the other and so on. Paro is a completely different character and I haven't seen her like this in her previous shows. Her choice of shows is very very unique.

Beneath the wrapper the package : i.e the content, the story and to some what the acting seems hollow.

You have judged the content, story and the acting in 3 days?

Contrary to what is being said, if you can see the show objectively the show is glamorized too much to hide the very apparent weakness.

Rudra the trigger happy BSD Major hasn't done much other than "stylishly" remove his sunglasses and shooting a few people in the gory blood spewing action scenes.

And in one episode, what would you have him do? And do try to remember that he is sharing the screen space with others.

Ashish the actor is definetly under-used here. Also, such scenes don't look needed and it's seems the CV's are doing it just to show the toughness of the character.

Oh, and you have a better way of telling how to make a character look tough?I mean better than the writer him/herself, who has a certain idea in his/her mind? For his/her story?

Back at Birpur the entire main cast , including sanaya , are trying hard but do not appear to bring authenticity/convincement in their rajasthani avatar. Dialects and pronunciation do no need major improvement.

This is of course, a matter of opinion. And you are entitled to have yours, albeit being the only one to think so.

This is obviously tough for sanaya , as she has done very easy, run-of-the mill, roles till now...which didn't require much out of her as an actor but this is different and she has to do more than look fragile and cute.

Umm... exactly which character are you referring to that did not require more of her than just look fragile and cute. I have only watched IPK and if you are referring to her portrayal of Kushi as run of the mill, easy and not requiring much, than you have probably not watched the same show as I did. Since the portrayal of Kushi required a myriad of emotions, simultaneously expressive dialogue and a character that although at times seemed far fetched was carried out impeccably by Sanaya. In fact, I would even venture to bet, that there might not exist an Indian actor out there, who would be prepared to do what Sanaya did for her portrayal of Kushi. Although, I do agree with you, the script of IPK, for the character of Kushi, after Jan 2012, sucked! But that's one for the CVs.
The character of Kushi is as different from Paro as chalk is to cheese.

The scene where the snake chooses the milk-container to decide it is paro whose getting married is typical of colors to show how indians are still backward and superstitious.

Initially, I thought so, as well, however, my ignorance was soon replaced by admiration at the way the reality of circumstances was shown. That is, the depiction of the hapless female, in today's world of the information age, where there are some people who still live in the centuries old traditions. These are rituals that are steeped in their beliefs and rather than generalizing, we need to tolerate them for what they are. A way of life for some, perhaps not as fortunate as we are. (Or perhaps we like to think that we are!) Having said that, however, do try to remember, that at the end of the day, this is still a fiction. And it is the writer's prerogative, to manipulate reality to suit the circumstances to relate to his/her story. It is neither enforceable nor incumbent on the spectator.

Other than that it is a typical village setting with a thakur, the ruler of land and his poor people who treat him as god and local silly superstitions we have seen plenty of times before.

It would seem like that if you look at it on the onset, however, I would be cautious to make a judgement like that in three episodes.

It's still early days but it seems it is headed for the obvious...normal love story with a rajasthani background and a mis-leading opening month of "difference"

Like you said, it's still early days. Ideas of normal love stories differ with each person.
It sounds hollow to make a judgement on a show based only on three episodes. It shows lack of intelligence, in spite of the long winded argument!

You totally have a right to express your opinion but it's just been three episodes. We should at least for a week before forming any kinds of opinion. 😆 And about Ashish being underused? It was his entry yesterday. They did it with all pomp and show. It is their way of attracting viewers because that is somewhat sells on Television these days.
And I won't say anything about Sanaya. I'll let her work do the talking. If she still doesn't impress you, good for you. 😛

This is serial which takes few weeks to establish the story and characters not a film to be decided after watching 1 1/2 hours(infact if you take the commercials not even that time) sorry TM disagree with you

Don't you think it's too early to judge? Ashish obviously hasn't had much to do because it has only been 3 episodes. It's not a 3 hour movie which has already ended. The story is yet to unfold and we don't know what the makers have in store for us. What you are referring to as backwards and superstitious is what many people believe in, so calling it a realistic portrayal is another way of looking at it.

I am not even going to comment on your statement on Sanaya because her career graph speaks for itself. She doesn't need my defending.

Unless you have come here with preconceived notions, I would suggest you to wait and watch.

Precisely. And we should be concerned only if the CVs are promoting such superstitions and beliefs. The bitter truth of treating a woman like a commodity still exists in many of the remote villages in India and a leaf out of reality has been taken for fiction here to set the stage.
Well said about Sanaya.
