Rangrasiya: Paro, the gorgeous village belle! Revengeful, heartless and snorting, Rudra!

This is RangRasiya, the story of a heartless cop from the BSD and a beautiful girl from the village where arm smuggling is the main source of income. India is a land of different cultural traditions. In the village, once a year, a girl from the village is selected to get married across the border as a tradition.

The "across border" marriage

Unmarried girls from the villages are packed off for marriage to the guys visiting from across the border villages. Traditions specify that all the village girls have to write their names on vessel containing milk and the snake in the temple drinks milk from one of the vessels and then the villagers believe that the girl is the one chosen by Lord Shiva to get married to the man from across the borders.

The snake creeps from the Shiva Lingam and slithers around all the milk vessels with the names of the girls written on them. Loud cries of Paro ring out as the snake dips its head into Paro's milk vessel. The ladies start to hug Parvati and rejoice as everybody says that finally Paro will get married and leave the village in a week's time.

The Thakur and the Thakurain smile away as they are delighted that a guy from across the border will accept Paro's hand in marriage. Thakur says that the border means nothing to him and all people from across the border are their own and he will never adhere to the stringent guidelines laid down by the BSD.

Dreamy eyed soft-hearted Paro

Skeptical about the whole issue, Paro sits and talks to her friend as Thakurain comes to meet her. The latter says that soon Parvati will leave their side of the desert and go away. Thakurain is sure that Paro wants a gentle, soft, caring and tender person as her husband. She says that she is sure that Paro wants her husband to be considerate enough not even to kill an ant under his foot. She rattles that Paro's guy is on his way and Parvati's destiny has already been scribbled by the Lord above. Hearing her words, Parvati shies away, and looks down.

Heartless Rudra

On the other hand, Rudra is shown to get into a bullet spat with a few people who are breaking the Rajasthan border rules. He shoots at the people who are running away smuggling bullets and needs to catch the people who are carrying out the smuggling of arms. In the encounter, he ends up killing the guys who are breaking the border rules, mercilessly. The daring Rudra pays no heed to the dead people and stakes his life fearlessly to successfully kill the smugglers.
Rudra gets into trouble with his seniors as the encounter was carried out under wrong means but for the right purposes. The senior tells him that he has to go to Birpur for his next mission. "Birpur" unleashes a lot of memories for Rudra it seems as he gets lost in a World of his own.

Memories start to flood his mind as he goes back in time with the words of his classmates' ringing in his brain, that he has been abandoned by his mother. He remembers the way his father told him never to trust a beautiful woman because he was abandoned for his ordinary looks. He recollects his frustrated father rattle off that a pretty woman is undependable for her children and her husband and will surely ditch them one day and leave. Dumped by mother at 12 years of age, Rudra nurtures bleeding heart that starts to bleed again at!

Parvati improvises the sewing machine to become a cutting instrument for her old aunt and hugs her close. The pain of parting is breaking their heart as they fear that Paro will soon be married and will leave the house and go. Prompted by her cousin to go out Paro picks up her bag and chances to see a "Rudraksh mala".

Rudraksh, is a large evergreen broad-leaved tree whose seed is traditionally used for prayer beads in Hinduism. It is considered to be sacred, just like Tulsi. 😊
