I love all the reviews and takes doing rounds in the forum at the moment. Today's episode was essentially Rudra's. From the Dabang style entry , to the Rajni style fight sequence to the Quentin Tarantino-style gore and violence. But in the midst of all the macho-giri you see the very subtle but still present vulnerable and human side of Rudra. The way he swallows and fists his hands, eyes closed as he sees the corpses of the fallen soldiers. And the very subtle change in demeanor when he hears Beerpur. It was subtle but effective. Ashish Sharma- kya bolein aap ke baare main. Amazing actor. I don't know why he isn't more popular. May this show bring much deserved laurels for both him and Sanaya.
Sanaya was amazing too. The hesitant shy smile, the reluctance to leave her home, the gentleness of her nature when she gets mami the massage-cum-chopping contraption (this should go down in Ripley's believe it or not) . I loved the dialogue when she says "toh na udne do, dibbe main band kardo" . And the scene in the tempo when she flings off her chunri and savours the last few days of her carefree youth.
And the contrasts they drew every single time Rajmata mentioned the fictitious groom. Anyway, I'm sure such a guy doesn't exist.

A harsh macho man with a vulnerable core ... that's what all good love stories are made of 😆 One who changes with the love of a beautiful woman ...

Check to both ... macho man and beautiful woman 😛 Story all set to go!

Ashish is very good, he impresses me more and more with each episode, and this is when he hasn't done much yet ... apart from sending goons flying through the air 😆 The two brief glimpses of Rudra's emotions were beautifully done ... another intense, subtle actor ... this jodi is going to be a treat to watch.

You would be amazed at some of the contraptions available in the villages ... IIT students do projects on kitchen appliances for rural areas which can be run without electricity, try googling and you'll come up with some amazing stuff! I work in a related field and am always amazed at the ingenuity they show.

Paro was beautiful in that scene with her maamisa ... the nervousness at the thought of leaving everything familiar and going to live in a strange land with strange people ... it is the fate of girls there, so she can't question or rebel, the thought doesn't even enter her head ... but the fear is there. Loving Paro's character so far ... Sanaya is portraying it to the T.

did you think the violence was too much?
is it bad enough that my parents wont let me watch it at primetime?

i thought rudra grew up some 140 km away from birpur (thats what the school sequence showed..) how does he know birpur? or were they traveling to birpur when that doll-donation happened? did he grow up with paro? are we gonna see more of those adorable kids?

There was both a human machine and a kitchen machine ... take your pick! 😆

I personally did not think the violence was too much ... it was Rajnikant type, complete with dark glasses, and men flying in the air ... that was what brought on the comparison in my mind, actually ... it made me laugh. The violence in American shows and movies is far more realistic and hence much more gruesome.

But I'm a grown woman, not an impressionable teenage boy who's going to go out and shoot pretend gangsters under the influence of such scenes 😆 ... so depends on individuals, I guess. My own kids would laugh at such scenes. 😛

There must be some connection between Birpur and Rudra ... the speculation on the forum is that maybe the thakurain is his mother ... hopefully the connection will emerge as the story progresses.
I was wondering why the change in expression. I thought the doll exchange happened at the Beerpur border ... but his flashbacks were of his mother, so obviously the connection is a painful one, not the pleasant one. Intriguing ... let's wait and watch.

He didn't grow up with Paro. The first episode made it clear that doll exchange was their one and only meeting in childhood.

Are we going to see the kids again? I hope so ... they were brilliant. But if that was the only Rudra Paro meeting, I doubt it ... we may get more individual fb's though.

OK, I want to first say what a difference it makes when the casting department does a good job, so far each actor has done a good job, drawing us into the world of rakth, reth, guns, fears, delicate dreams, compassion and past miseries.

The scene which stood out for me was the one where Thakurain describes Paro's price charming juxtaposed with the violent and aggressive Rudra. Thakurain's words gave further insight into Paro's gentle soul and her quiet aspirations. I liked Sanaya's expressions here and she looked beautiful.

What a hero's entry but more then the action sequence (it was well executed, very filmy ) I liked the scenes where Rudra sees the dead bodies of the jawans and when he is told of his transfer to Birpur. The body language and subtle change of expressions was very well done. Now, can't wait to see Ashish's scenes with Sanaya.

Paro's scene with mamisa and Bindi was nice. I again liked Sanaya's expressions and dialogue when she takes away her ghunghat for the one last whiff of Birpur, one last attempt to savour her carefree days before her world changes forever...in seven days the air will return after hitting her ghunghat...Paro's nervous happiness about her impending marriage was well done.

Today we also got to know through Thakur's speech, that the misgivings for BSD runs deeper then just trying to run a smuggling racket, it has to do with the social and historical legacy of Birpur. This is further fuelled by Thakur, the erstwhile royal of that area. His wives view on this is yet to be clear, there is definitely some stress there.

All in all a good episode and again spectacular cinematography. Loved the locations they chose to shoot. Music is also very soulful.

U, beautiful take ... as usual, I agree with every word! 😃

Just adding to the bit on the thakur ... I also feel he fuels the hatred towards the BSD for his own personal ends ... the thakurs were the traditional rulers, and expected blind obedience ... all of them didn't cede to the Indian republic willingly ... Sardar Patel had a huge role to play in bringing them into the fold and integrating them into free India. And there was resentment among them, they lost their jageers and their income, and were left only with a privy purse, if I remember my history right.
So this is an interesting angle they have brought in. More than that angle, the tension between him and his wife on that will be interesting ... she obviously does not share his views.

Spectacular cinematography again ... very much on a movie scale. I remember the article on the cameras they used for shooting the outdoor scenes ... it shows!!! 👏

Yesterday it looked nothing less than a movie of epic sorts! It had some really uber cool chiseled action sequences. Add that to that the steely stride of Ashish as Rudra! The stark contrast was so stubbornly drawn that you couldn't help but take all that comes your way! While Paro is hesitantly happy about her future, Rudra is shown to take a ravenous form to destroy all that comes her way. Unfortunately tale will not be a happy one. For we have hate and love dwelling in one arc itself!

Awesome post Diya. I agree that today's episode was far more gripping as we finally got to see our male lead in action. As Paro dreams of her groom and future husband, clips of the ruthless and calculative Rudra was shown. Paro wants a husband who is as sweet and friendly as her. She has lived in a loving and comforting community where all villagers treat each one as their own. Thus, she expects her husband to be loving as well.

Even their Rajmata is a sweet woman who kindly interacts with her people without any farce. She seems like a very observant lady as she knows Paro's ideal man by heart. She feels that a gentle and kind man will be able to keep Paro happy but fate has it that her soul mate is someone else who is quite different from an ideal man. I loved how Rudra skillfully and lethally killed all his opponents. He is indeed strategic and smart. He was even able to defeat and kill an enemy without a weapon in hand. He trusted his man power and physical strength to push the jeep against his prey and kill him. I did feel bad for Ashish in this part as it must have been difficult to push the jeep but he managed it quite well.

Anyways, we got to see how manipulated Tejawat was as he spoke largely against the BSD after promising to get Paro lavishly wedded. He had earned the trust, faith, respect and loyalty of each commoner as he has helped educate their sons and marry off their daughters. To them he is no less than god but others may know his true face and yet they are not granted their life for long. Tejawat is kind and giving as long as others support and remain loyal to him. Otherwise, they will be exposed to his wrath and cruelty. I fear Paro's outcome in the future when he realizes that her heart lies with his enemy (Rudra, a BSD officer). But hopefully Rudra is there to protect Paro from the evil Tejawat. Right now she believes he's a good well wisher and leader but in the future, she may learn his true face. I have a feeling that Rajmata knows her husband's true intentions and this is why she is not happy about him badmouthing the BSD officers. Or she may be related to someone from the BSD in the past. Anyways, she seems like a very genuine and kind woman.

It was sweet of Paro to buy that machine. She is still worrying about her aunt and how she'll do without her. I admire the sweet bond that she shares with her mami. They may not be related by blood but their love for each other is far more greater than that. Paro is hesitant to leave her loved ones and her village, a place that has been her home for all her life. She's had her share of good and bad memories and yet, it is upsetting for her to leave her mother land.

While Paro heads off to see her wedding outfit. Rudra is summoned before his superior officer who criticizes his reckless actions. In the name of duty, Rudra has viciously killed his enemies (not that I'm complaining). He was probably supposed to spare at least one guy but he killed all in a moment of rage. It was interesting that Rudra was shown to brutally kill these men while the prospective groom of Paro was describe as someone that would not even kill an ant. Paro's true love is quite opposite to the man that she believes she would end up with.

So Rudra is sent off to Birpur and Paro is heading out of it. I'm sure they'll meet on the way but I'm interested to know both of their reactions after the kidnapping scene. Both Sanaya and Ashish have made me proud in today's episode. Sanaya played a poised and lovely girl who was happily dreaming about her husband. While Ashish was spectacular in his action scenes. They also looked great in their attires. They have amazing screen presence and I'm sure their chemistry will rock too.

Sidda, lovely take! Am sure the actors will do us proud ... Ashish emotes with his eyes, and that is important, since Rudra is a man of few words. So does Sanaya ... so their scenes will be explosive ... I can't wait to see them in the same frame and see how their relationship evolves. 😳

Hope the cvs tone down voilence a little.

Both the lead actors are excellent ... but its the story that is the ultimate king. Keeping fingers crossed for this one 😃

Thanks for posting 😊

like when he saw his fellow soldiers laying on the ground defeated, or when he was
transferred to birpur (hope i spell it right..?)

oh...! i cant stop gushing how his lean good looks is making me swoon ... 😳

but the fighting seq is a bit too much, and i noticed that they edited some of it during the
repeat telecasts .

coming to sanaya as paro .. what more can i say abt her.
she is MARVELOUS .. 🤗

the shy, dreamer paro is promised of a life in heaven .
but fury in h*** is waiting for her ...

rudra is coming ...

Ashish is very good ... I didn't mind the fighting, though I get bored if it goes on for too long. It's too way out to be real, so that's not my issue ... I love the slow motion Matrix scenes and the action scenes in the James Bond movies (what to do, I have a husband and kids who love these movies! 😆)

But I love the emotional scenes more ... the glimpses of the softer Rudra who gets affected by the death of his men ... by his memories of Beerpur ...
and of course the tender gentle love between Maamisa and Paro, the soft affection of the Rajmata ... those were the sweetest scenes.

Rajmaata knows what Paro would like in her husband ... problem is, that's not what she is going to get! Destiny has carved another path for her ... a path paved with stones.
