From Shaan's excitement to Khanak's apprehension, the Khanak-Tashu convo on Sonia and then Khanak being KFD...everything was so natural and so superb! Everything and I mean everything was perfectly penned down except for the last few lines.

Nishaaa *huggss* Thankyou! OMG i got so scared when i read everything except the last lines! I was like aray last lines main toh i love you tha she didnt like that? lol. Yes I'll be wnding it yaar this was the entire story i had planned in my head with just one thing remaining that I will add in the coming parts. I don't want to let it go off track from the essence of partial amnesia na iss liyay. Don't worry the updates will ofcourse have Shanak in them. You know what I think I'll take it to 40 parts how's that? :) And then an epilogue. Sounds good? And LOL nooo I'm not writing another FF I will continue to write Oss that I used to write before. Writing FFs is tough lol. But REALLLY enjoyable too because of the support of people like youuu *hugss* Have you read my Shanak OSs? You should read them to gice you a dose of Shanak! I've written around 14 plus.

"Kya kaha aapnay?" Khanak looked up suddenly her face slightly white.

Shaan pressed Khanak close to his body and smiled. "Mainay kaha I love you too----" he said sexily pulling her face close for a kiss.

"Nahi! Iss say pehlay----iss say pehlay aap nay kya kaha?" Khanak asked slowly staring into space now, thinking hard.

"Iss say pehlay mutlub?Khanak I said I love you too! You said I love you and I said I love you too----" Shaan said a little worried looking at the expression on Khanak's face Why was she suddenly behaving so bizarre? He thought silently.

"Nahi Shaantanu! I love you say pehlay-----aapnay kaha---kay main paathshala main------" Khanak lifted her elbow and pressed it on the mattress as she detached hersekf from Shaan.

Shaan laughed relieved. "Haan----mainay kaha kay---kay tum yay sub paathshala main karna chahtee thee----" but his voice drowned in his throat as Khanak completely moved away from him and moved ot her side of the bed to lay flat, the sheets over her. "Kya hua?" Shaan asked surprisedturning to her.

"Shaantanu---" Khanak said vaguely, her eyes out of focus. "Aap yay----yay mujhay pehlay----pehlay kah chukay hain---app YAHEE paathshala wali baat mujh say pehlay kah chukay hain-----jub hum----jub hum sej sajanay ki---baat kar rahay thay----" Khanak said slowly remembering.

Shaan looked at Khanak shocked and sat up in bed. "Khanak!" he cried. "Tum ko yaad hain! Shittt! Tumko yaad hain tum nay jo baatein ki thee---tum nay jo do jodo mazboot haat ki baat ki thee-----" he said shaking her shoulders roughly.

Khanak sat up in bed too and pulled the sheets over her to cover herself in the darkness unnecessarily. "Aur aap---aap nay doodh aur paan -----doodh aur paan----"

Shaan was so happy he started laughing like a maniac. "HAAN! Main doodh aur paan lay kar aya tha!! Khanak tumko yaad agaya! Khanak----aur kya yaad aya tumko?" Shaan asked coming close to her and attempting to remove the sheets from her grip which she sternly pulled back.

"Aur kuch nahi----" Khanak said shortly though Shaan noticed a marked change in her tone. It was the tone Khanak used when she did not want to reveal anything.

Shaan grinned. "Aur KUCH nahi yaad aya? KUCH bhee nahi?" Shaan asked again moving himself closer to Khanak, holding her face and playing with the strands of her hair.

"Kuch bhee nahi!" Khanak said unconvincingly.

In a split second Shaan pulled the sheets from over Khanak and jumped over her to kiss her mouth fully making Khanak squeal with laughter. They kissed passionately for several minutes, their hands travelling all over each other before they rested on each other's face. "Ub yaad ajayga----" Shaan said breathlessly and dived for Khanak's neck as Khanak laughed sexily.

Khanak felt herself blushing deeply as she withdrew herself from Shaan and turned to her side of the bed, her back towards him so that Shaan would not notice. Instinctively Shaan moved his arm over her waist to press his palm on her stomach, spooning her completely. Moving his mouth towards her ear he breathed "Toh tumko yaad agaya----"

"Thora thora----" Khanak said softly, feeling the heat rise up in her face yet again as Shaan caressed her flat stomach under the sheet.

Shaan took a deep breath and turned Khanak towards him. "Buhat jaldi----tumko sub kuch yaad ajayay ga-----I promise-----"

Khanak gulped and nodded. All of a sudden she felt a lump rise in her throat and could understand, for the life of her, why it was there. Shaan noticed and knew what Khanak was thinking. She was thinking about the baby. Their baby who she still did not remember. Shaan pulled her close again and hugged her tight. Khanak engulfed her arms around Shaan too and sniffed slightly. They remained like this for a while before Shaan removed the sheet from her and bent down to kiss her stomach lightly making Khanak gasp softly. Even in the darkness he could see the faint scars of the stitches left by that fateful operation. The scars would fade away, he thought, and so would their grief, slowly.

"Toh Khanak----" Shaan said suddenly attempting to make the mood a bit cheerful as his face came level with Khanak's again. "Jiss din Mom nay announce kiya tha kay hum dono alug alug rooms main rahay gay-----uss din jub main tum say milnay aya tha----uss waqt toh tumnay nahi kaha tha-----kay tumhay NAHI aata!! That time you were ready!"

Khanak looked embarrassed. "Kyunkay---kyunkay uss waqt mera pehli baar---pehli baar tha-----" she said without thinking, making Shaan snort with laughter.

"You've got to be the first girl on earth saying that for her 'first time'!" Shaan said still laughing. Khanak punched him, then buried her head in Shaan's chest.

"Mujhay neend arahee hain----" Khanak said.

Shaan smiled and kissed her forehead."Good neend----tomorrow we'll have a session in the paathshala----" he laughed. Khanak buried her face deeper in Shaan's chest.

"Khanak! Chalo we're going to Geeta's---" Madhvi said to Khanak who was chatting animatedly with Natasha in the living room. Mitul had dropped her off early in the morning before going to the hospital. It had turned out that Khushboo was going to Geeta for a check up making Natasha feel relieved that finally she cold sepnd some time in the Khandelwal house without the bickering of a pregnant lady, maybe talk to Khanak a bit and finish her last night's conversation.

"What?! Why is Khanak going?!" Natasha asked surprised looking at Khanak.

Khanak looked confused too. "Haan main kyun jarahee hoon?" she asked Madhvi.

"Aray! Tumhara bhee check up hojayay ga----tum bhee pregnanacy test lay lo Geeta kay clinic jakar!" Madhvi said to Khanak reasonably. Natasha chuckled at both the expression on Khanak's face and at Khushboo rolling her eyes at a distance. "It's been over a month since you're okay!-----Aray main dadi bunnay wali hoon kay nahi-----pata toh chalay! " she said excitedly.

"MOM! You ARE going to become a dadi!" Khushboo said loudly pointing at her protruding stomach angrily. Natasha giggled and Madhvi looked emabarassed.

"Wohhh mera mutlub tha----kay mutlub Shaankay bacha-----" she said guiltily not daring to complete her sentence but the damage had been done.

"MOM!! Urghhh! Shaan ka bacha Shaan ka bacha---that's all you've been on about! " Khushboo pouted, mildly annoyed. "Shaan ka bacha kaisay ayay ga----in dono nay toh-----" but Khushboo stopped abruptly by the wide eyed look both Khanak and Natasha gave her.

"In dono nay toh KYA?" Madhvi looked at Khushboo suspiciously and then turned to look at Khanak and Natasha.

"---Mutlub----Khanak and Natasha----main toh in dono ki baat kar rahee thee-----" Khushboo tried to cover up, " I mean Khanak aur Natasha------Mom apko pata nahi hain----in dono ki dosti---errr dosti kitnee barh gaee hain-----basically---ermmm---yea so basically Natasha has been brainwashing Khanak not to plan a baby-----you know---I mean SHE doesn't want one so soon-----so she's trying to convince Khanak to do the same!!"

"WHAT?!" Natasha said shocked. "Didi MAINAY kub----" she started but Khanak made her shut up with a wide eyed look and shaking of the head.

"YES! So if Khanak has company like Natasha how would she EVER conceive----" Khushboo said building on what she thought was a perfect safe. Natasha glared at her sister while Madhvi looked shocked.

"Natasha!! How could you!!----Beta this is the perfect time for you two to plan a baby----infact I think you should come with me for a check up too-----" Madhvi said to her kindly.

"Mom---errr-----" Natasha started miserably having no choice but to play along.

"Mummy jeee!" Khanak said interrupting saving Natasha. "Mummy jee chalay na-----chaltay hain---Geeta jee kay paas-----Natasha toh aisay hee boltee rahtee hain-----chalay na check up kay liyay----" Khanak held Madhvi's hand firmly and pulled her towards the door while Khushboo walked smugly too.

"Natasha! Tum bhee chalo!" Madhvi turned around to beckon Natasha towards the door as well. Sighing in defeat Natasha huffily walked towards the door, thinking that she would have been better off at the office working with her dad.

"Somebody looks happy-----" Mitul said to Shaan as he looked up at him, finally removing his eyes from the laptop in his office at the hospital.

Shaan grinned broadly. "Well I have reasons----few of which you should know---- and most of which you would not WANT to know----considering I know you so well----" he said slyly smiling.

Mitul raised his eyebrows. "I see. I think I'll let the 'would-not-want-to-know' ones pass then----and hope you tell me what I 'should' know?----" he said.

Shaan laughed. "Well what you SHOULD know----is that Khanak got a certain amount of her memory back! She remembers that we were---errr----" Shaan struggled to find a less explicit word to tell Mitul exactly what he meant.

Fortunately Mitul understood. "That's great!" he exclaimed. "Which automatically gives me a certain hint of what I would not want to know. " he said warningly.

Shaan laughed again. "Don't worry I'm not telling you----" he said cheerfully but blushing slightly, a sight that made Mitul raise his eyebrows again and stifle a laugh as he waited for shaan to go ahead with what he was saying. "Listen buddy" Shaan said his expression turning serious. "I just---I just---that day when Khanak collapsed---the day she found out about the baby-----when you came back from Goa----I just-----Uss qt mujha chance nahi mila-----laikin ub----I just----"

Mitul was looking at Shaan with a bewildered expression on his face. "Shaan Shaan SHAAN! WHAT are you saying? You're making no sense!" he said laughing a little.

"Mitul—" Shaan said looking straight at his friend now. "I just wanted to say Thank you yaar----thank you for-----for everything you did for Khanak-----for me-----for reaching on time-----for saving her from that doctor----agar tu nahi hota toh----toh----"Shaan stopped talking "Thanks yaar----" he said softly again.

Mitul got up from his chair seriously and went up to Shaan. Shaan got up too. "Shaan----don't thank me----" Mitul said his voice close to a whisper, "----I did what I had to do----I didn't do anything for you---nor for bhabhi-----I did it for me----I came back for ME----"

Shaan nodded and looked down a lump in his throat. He knew what Mitul was thinking but he did not ask him. He knew what Mitul had gone through with the death of his sister Sameera, how Mitul had been unsuccessful in operating on her head injuries and how Sameera had succumbed to her wounds even after untiring efforts from Mitul. But never before had he shared his grief with Shaan. Shaan had respected that wish of his and had never asked him too. It was always an unspoken understanding. Shaan understood why Mitul's face would light up whenever he saw Khanak fussing over him.and it was enough for him to know his friend had found a sister in Khanak.

Shaan looked up at Mitul again and hugged him. Mitul hugged him back. It was another one of those unspoken moments between the two friends.

"Aray MOM! What are YOU doing here?" Shaan caught up with his mother in the hospital corridor standing outside Geeta's room. She had a file of documents in her hand.

Madhvi turned ecstatically to face Shaan and hugged him. "SHAAANNN!!" she cried happily shaking his shoulders. Shaan looked thouroughly confused. "SHAAN!! Tum baap bannay walay ho!! Khanak is pregnant!!" she exclaimed and hugged Shaan again.

"WHATT?!" Shaan said shocked, his face confused and white as he withdrew from his mother's arms.
