Part 22-
Arjun stretched and got up from his bed. He looked at his clock, and saw that is was almost 1:00.
Damn, itni late hui, aur koi mujhe jagaa ya nahi? He thought, rubbing his head having a slight hangover from last night.
He trudged down the stairs wondering where everyone was. He went into the kitchen and got himself a glass of orange juice. As he looked out the window, he saw that it was a beautiful sunny day outside, and he decided to go for a jog, hopefully taking him out of his hangover. He strapped on his Adidas sneakers, and headed outside.
As he ran, he thought about last night. It was great to party all night with his best friend, something he hadn't done in a long time. Though most people think of Arjun as the fun loving, party guy, these past years have been hard on him, trying to establish himself in his father's company. He was more of a family oriented guy, then staying up doing business projects and meetings with clients. To him, these last two years were a complete blur, and time just flew by. Not to mention the fact, of his pyaara sa daadi, nagging him to get married already. Sometimes when he would look at Abeer, he would see the warm smile in his eyes when he looked at Leher. Love must be one amazing thing, he thought. After all it affected all of his friends lives one way or another. He turned his way into a park right behind the house, he was making his way along the track course, until he saw a girl running around with kids, with a familiar smile.
Arohi, he whispered to himself.
Arohi, he thought. Last night he loved teasing her, not knowing why. He loved how she would frown every time he talked to Mahi. Or how her big brown eyes would suddenly squint angrily, when he laughed with Mahi. Why does it bother her so much? He thought. Heck, why does it give me so much happiness? He thought. He looked at her, and saw that she was playing some sort of game with the kids, her infectious laughter ringing in the air. As he continued to look at her, he stumbled slightly on the pavement, almost tripping.
Yaar, tu pagal ho raha hai, he said as he got up, brushed himself, and ran back home.

Okay now, Khanak said.
Now? Shaan asked.
NOW! Khanak replied.
Early morning around 9o'clock Shaan had texted Khanak asking her to come into his room. This left Khanak very grumpy as she hadn't had a good night's sleep, and so she walked angrily to Shaan's room in her Tom and Jerry PJ's.
As soon as she walked in, Shaan exploded into a fit of laughter seeing her stand angrily at the door, with her hands on her hip.
*Khanak rolled her eyes* Kya baath hai? She asked with a hint of annoyance in her voice.
*Shaan continued to laugh, smiling slightly when Khanak gave him death glares* Okay, okay I'm sorry. Khanak I need your help yaar! He said motioning her to sit down on the bed.
Since then the two of them had been sitting in Shaan's room, trying to decide to call Natasha's mom or not. At first it seemed too early to call her, and then it just pointless at all to call.
Shaan you're calling for a reason, an important one, so stop acting like such a baby, pick up the phone and call her! Khanak exclaimed.
*Shaan sighed and picked up his phone for the umpteenth time* I should do it, right? He asked looking at Khanak for her conformation.
Yes, you should, she said looking into his eyes.
As Shaan started to dial, Khanak decided to leave giving him some privacy. As soon as she got up though, Shaan held her hand, telling her to stay.
Relax dude, I'll just be waiting outside, she said as Shaan rolled his eyes, and smiled at her.
Shaan dialed the number, and waited anxiously as the phone rang.

Hello...? A voice came.
Uhh, hello, Shobha aunty? Shaan replied.
Shaan...? Beta, Shaan kaise ho tum? She asked.
He smiled and looked down, having many things to say to his, precious aunty.
Beta... Main jaanti hoon, ki yeh tunhari gaalti nahin thi. Kisi ki galti nahin thi. *She sighed* Jo hua, so hua, beta itne saal hue, ke maine tumhari awaaz nahin suni, kyun? She asked.
Shaan closed his eyes, feeling the guilt, throughout the years Shobha had given him tons of love and affection, she was his second mom, as he often said.
Mujhe maaf kar dee jiye ga, aunty I didn't know how to face you. I didn't even know how to even face myself. Natasha, mujhe kabhi chod ke nahin jaaye ga, main use kabhi jaane nahin doonga, he said.
Beta, Natasha humare saab ke dil main hain. Aur yeh main kai rahi hoon, ki use tumhari dil mein rakhna, lakin uski liye tum apni zindagi maat bholana.Woh yeh kabhi nahin chihigi, she said.
Main janti hoon aunty, ... I really miss you, he said.
*Natasha's mom smiled slightly* I miss you too beta, mujhe tumhari yaad bahut aata hain.
Shaan resumed his conversation with Shobha, relishing her soothing voice, and words of love. He felt the burden life off his shoulders, and after 2 years of suffer, he finally felt at ease.
After he hung up, he walked outside to the hallway, where he found Khanak sleeping next to the wall.
Buthal, he whispered as he picked her up softly, and walked to her room.
