Update 12 - Am I in love ?

"Sorry khanak we are very late"

Shaan sees that khanak is not angry like other girl's she was calm. She had a smile on her face which looked the prettiest from all other accessories she was wearing. She was a different yet the most amazing girl.

"Oh! It's fine you are not very late and the shop will not close na! "

Shaan gives a smile but he couldn't help stare at her. She was everything intelligent, beautiful, calm.

"Shaan tumhe kya coffee ab yahan hi pini hai "

Shaan doesn't listens he just stares

Khanak claps in front of him making a weird face. Shaan then snaps back into reality

"Ya ya lets go! When did I stop you people?"

He rushes out he just wanted a moment to himself. He moves down the stairs .

Khanak and ducks make a weird look

"What's up with him duck?"

"I don't know yaar! We will ask him .come lets go"

Duck moves out and khanak walks after him. She felt that Shaan was staring at her but she wasn't sure and actually why was she thinking it might be something else.

Shaan down there was just thinking the weird things happening to him now days. He just always thought about khanak. When she was ill he was worried when she laughs he is happy. He didn't even care about ducks like that but khanak? He was confused

Khanak and duck come down the lift khanak was about to ask him what had happened but duck's did her work

"hey Shaan kya kar raha hai tu has anything happened ?"

"No duck's its nothing "

Duck knew Shaan and he knew that when Shaan was confused he behaved so but he didn't want talk in front of khanak

" if you say so Shaan lets go or we will be late "

they reached the cafe which as twenty minutes away from khanak's house .

Shaan had decided that he will act fun in the shop or ducks will ask more questions

They take a seat near the window.

"Mmm khanak what will you have?"

"Anything"

"Hey I am not your dad sitting here! Just speak what you want"

"Well..."

Ducks didn't want to wait so long!

"Khanak if you don't mind could I make the order"

"Ya sure duck"

shaan looks at duck . Duck shrugs. Shaan wanted to scold him but there was a lady sitting

"Duck! Yaar khanak order dey rahi thi na toh dene deta"

"shaan jitni der mein woh order deti utni der mein mein teen bar khana kha leta hoon "

"duck yaar thodi toh manners seekh !"

" shaan ! mujhme manners hain but bas meri mama ke sammne "

They just start to fight khanak just keeps quite.

oh how adorable they both looked while fighting just like kids ! but she didnt want people staring at them

"Guys just stop yaar! i odnt mind shaan so why are you fight ting"

"But khanak ! ..."

"No buts please just order now"

"Fine"

Shaan snatches the menu from ducks and goes to give the order .

" mmm two cappuccinos and one cold coffee and three chocolate pastries with caramel sauce "

Shaan brings it to their table. Khanak looks at him. He seemed different from what he was. She wondered what had happened

"hey Madame ! Hum yahan shok manane nahin aye hain!"

" tum bhi to thodi der pehle sok mana rahe the "

" haan who mein ducks ke dimag ke kho jaane par shok mana raha tha "

Ducks made an angry face. He always wondered why he was the centre of all jokes but this time he didn't want to be the joker! afterall he was the king

" haan khanak who mene apna dimag shaan ko daan kar diya ! bechare ko kapde choose karne mein takleef ho rahi thi "

Khanak stares at shaan . She was like shocked. She tried to control her laughter but she couldn't help a giggle .

" bahut hassi aa rahi hai na . ab mere paas hain hi itne kapde ki mein chose kar hi nahin paati "

"I can understand "

Khanak winks at Duck.

" kuch aur baat karo yaar ! "

Khanak smiles at duck

"well tomorrow is college "

Shaan makes a dirty face ohhh it was just the same feeling he got on a Sunday night during school

" Shaan ! Don't make dirty face you know what ! we have the auditions for the dance competition tomorrow ! "

"Really! That's great "

Now it was ducks turn to sulk

"What dance ?! hume kya padhne aate hain yan phir entertainment karne ?"

"Ducks! arre mazaa aye ga ! haan ab agar tu apni partner ke paon tode gat oh meri galti nahin hai ! "

" shaan ! You! "

Duck beats shaan on the back. Khanak just couldn't stop laughing . She loved theses two

Back near khanak's apartment Shaan and duck leave her. Shaan speaks in a low voice

"Well bye khanak see you tomorrow "

"bye Shaan "

Ducks was in a hurry. His mom had cold and said that if he didn't come home in 5 minutes he would become a grilled chicken.

" yaar jaldi chalo ! ok bye khanak ! shaan hil ! kal mil rahein hai na kal bye karna warna mein hamesha ke liye dharti ko bye keh don ga ! "

" ok fine coming ! "

Back at home shaan sitting on his bed was chatting with a friend but his mind was some wehere else

"What's with khanak? Why did I just stare?"

shaan now knows he is starting to have some different feel for khanak..n he is thinking abt that..thats a good sign..

Update 13

She is the one!

For the first time in his life Shaan felt he needed to think about his feelings. Previously he was clear about everything but now everything had changed his priorities, his feelings; he was confused; just like when he was a teenager and had his first crush but this time it was deeper. Did he like khanak? He needed to be sure of his feelings this time.

But who would help him? Off course no one from the family.

Will it be duck's? Would he make fun of him but he was his best buddy! He was sure he would understand. Let's give it a try!

He picked up his phone while searching for duck. He was praying duck's would help and he better help!

Duck's picked up his phone. He thought "who in the world is the idiot who is ringing at 11 'o' clock!" With great difficulty he managed to mumble a hello

Shaan there said hello with such enthusiasm as if he was speaking with him after many years. He wanted to tell duck's what was the state of his mind .He was about to tell him when duck's busted on hearing his voice.

"You! Shaan if you don't want to sleep then why are you disturbing others. Didn't you find anyone else?"

He wanted to go to his house and beat him but what could he do now shaan had called so he had to listen after all he was his best friend .How much he hated him at this time but he loved him all together.

"Duck's yaar I am sorry but listen first I am confused you know the moment I saw khanak today '"

This was the most stupid reason for which anyone had ever called him. He didn't believe in love but being shaan's friend he had to deal with lots of girl's who were after shaan and some of them who were after him.

"So what do you want me to do? Do you want me to bring a ghodi and set up a mandap?!" duck was irritated. C'mon if you love a girl then why you do have to call in the middle of the night.

"Duck's! Please don't think too far first listen! I have not finished! I am confused! I feel happy when she is happy and sad when I am sad'"

But duck's didn't let him finish he just wanted to sleep and thought that this reason was enough and he liked her

"You like her my bro, now just snap off and sweet dreams "

Shaan felt more confused should he believe duck's or not

By that time duck's cut off

"Duck's! Hello! Damn you!"

"Well should I believe what duck said?"

Shaan gave it a five minute thought and realized he liked khanak.

"So as now the drama is solved so let's start by impressing her!"

He didn't realize that he could be so sure so fast but he had to.

Shaan looked at the watch and it was 11:30 so he decided to sleep and he wouldn't have any problem in impressing her after all every girl liked him.

Next morning was a new one for Shaan he got up early and nearly gave his mom a shock when she saw him out of his bed.

"Shaan! Are you all right!"

Shaan gave a weird look

"Off course mom why are you asking "

"No its nothing "

Shaan put on his blue shirt with the top three buttons down. Hair all set in a smarty way and with his sunglasses on .He was set to go.

He reached collage with a new urge in him. He felt kind of great. He saw khanak chattering with anki near the class.

"Hey girls! So what's up?"

They both look at him and give him a warm smile.

"Hey Shaan and where is duck's "

Shaan just remembered that he had forgotten to wake up duck's. Now he was in great trouble

"Mmm actually he will come on his own"

Shaan smiled and saw both the girl's discussing something .He tried to stand beside khanak but anki was stepping between. He wanted to kill her for a moment.

"How I wish that anki would have got married at her cousins wedding instead!"

Shaan looked at khanak for a moment. She was deep in her books. For few seconds he thought she would never like him but he regained his confidence.

Shaan! Who in this world can say no to you! You are a hero!

"Shaan?"

Shaan stopped gazing as khanak was calling him

"Yes yes khanak"

"You know we will get our projects today "

Shaan wished they didn't. He wanted to concentrate on one thing at a time .He wanted to do well in project's as well as he wanted to win over khanak but one cannot have all thing's .What was to do be done now? He said to himself. He continued to think about it throughout class. Then he thought of something. He went to khanak "khanak I was thinking we both take the project together"

Khanak didn't know what to say .She had already promised anki but she could not say no to shaan. She was in complete confusion.

Shaan could not wait more. What was there to think? He said to himself. I am standing here and she is thinking! Wow shaan what a great start

Khanak at last agreed to Shaan .She didn't know why but she did. She kind of thought that she would enjoy more.

"Ok! Khanak it's done my house tomorrow at seven and we will start our project "

Shaan was overjoyed. Duck didn't give any interest as he had seen this excitement many times before and at the end nothing worked out for Shaan.

But duck was wrong in his apprehension. Shaan was quite serious this time .He liked khanak and she was too good to be true. He didn't care what duck thought.

Shaan waited and waited for the collage to get over. The day dragged on and on. For him one minute looked like an hour .He couldn't wait for tomorrow.

At last the collage got over .Shaan while sitting on his bike remembered the day when khanak sat behind him and it was raining . He blushed to himself .He was in his dreams when duck shouted at him.

"Shaan buck up man! We have to reach home "

Shaan snapped out of his dream and went on.

That night was a difficult one for him as he was very excited .He just couldn't wait for tomorrow.
