Ritu and Khanak fight over Hindi or English first, then fight over which English one to watch, and finally after 20 or so minutes of arguing decide to watch Roman Holiday and Harry met Sally!
Ritu: Harry
Khanak: Roman!
Dadi: I am going to pick Casablanca and that's what we will all watch first
Khanak and Ritu in unison "Dadiii"
Sonali is watching more videos on YT, her husband is back on the phone.
She decides not to look at the duo and tries to work the complicated remote. It has over 75 buttons on it.
Each time she tells herself she needs a Saturday Study group for it, but forgets.
Aada: Beta main chala soney
Khanak: Nahi aada aap yahi so jao
Aada eyes Shaan: Nahi beta, yahan baithe hain Shantanu
Khanak: To kya ho gaya! Main to kahin bhi so jaati hoon (smug)
Ritu: Tu to kamaal hai. You are the star!
Khanak: shut up!
Fa: Hamey 7 baje jaga dogi? Kuch photocopy karwaane ka kaam tha (in Gujju)
Khanak: Hmmm Lekin''
Dadi: Beta inko kaho copier study mein bhi hai!
Khanak: (in Gujju) I can copy it for you
Fa: 40 se zyaada page hongey beta! (sheepish)
Khanak (in Gujju) Abhi aap so jao
She works the remote again, gives up
Ritu: la mujhe de. I took an electronics class It know it all
She acoompanies her Dad and Fa to the other room.
Returns in 20 or so minutes with her phone.
Smiles and sets it on the long table running along the wall with vases and artefacts places every few feet.
Ritu: This is truly the most annoying device I had the good fortune to meet!
Khanak laughs
Her husband still on the phone, Dadi is gone.
Sonali is giggling, laughing showing him stuff on screen
He barely nods, takes notes, or goes to, there is no pen, Sonu jumps up and gets it for him
Khanak seats herself faraway from the guy.
She tries to work it
It doesn't switch from Aux to Blu Ray
Khanak: Oh! Forget it! Lets just go to my room (stops) I mean lets go to the room you guys are in.
Ritu: I want to watch it on 70mm! Main nahi!
Khanak looks at her husband
He has a "ASK ME" look!
She responds with a "I wont!"
He does a "Fine then!"
Ritu: Shaan kitna phone par rehte ho tum. Hang up NOW and help the hottest girls in town.
He laughs out loud.
Shaan (into the phone) Call you right back Nachiket!
Ritu: Haaan! WORKING! Gotcha!
He is visibly nervous
Ritu: Dekh le Shaan is cheating on you!
Khanak has a "what ever" look on her face!
Ritu: Arent you supposed to be sitting by your wife and rubbing her back each time she coughs?
Khanak coughs, doesn't come out too naturally but what the heck!
It works!
Shaan: really? No one told me!
Ritu: I just did Gujral
He looks at her in shock, smiles later
Ritu: What?
Shaan: nothing! (smiles)
Ritu: don't your friends call you Gujral?
Shaan: they do!
Walks up and ruffles her head, she stands on her toes and ruffles his!
Ritu: God! You have too much hair! Its Wrong!
Shaan guffaws, uses the opp to sidle by his wife on her sofa
Ritu: Tu isko kya bulaati hai MYSTERY?😉
Khanak plays hard to get, but there is no escaping as she is by the arm rest. He squishes her... almost!😃
Ritu doesn't pay attention, is pulling the Blu ray disc out of the player manually
Khanak: ermm
Ritu: I am not sure whats annoying me more the re-mote or this girl.😡
Gives Khanak a dirty look
Khanak: I actually meant to say I don't have to call him ever,Gosh! I mean since he is always by my side!😛😃 (taunt for not being with her in Pune)
Shaan looks at her like "Quit pushing it khanak"😈
She smiles, bright and wide''.
He grabs the remote from her fighting hand, holds her hand with his left and points the remote.
Sonali is no longer interested in YT
She puts the iPad on the coffee table and walks over to the sofa where the guy is
Ritu waits
Khanak waits
Sonali waits
Khanak knows her husband
She is the first one to give up
Looks at him, livid, ready to punch the smug look
Shaan looks at her with a "Ask me!" in his eyes.
Khanak has a "No!" in hers
Ritu is facing the TV.
Sonali is irritated for some reason
Sonu:Jeej please chalaiye na (in her sweetest cutest voice)
The guy is not willing to budge
Khanak: (softly) There! She said it! (pointing her eyes towards her gushing cousin with eyeballs in the shape of hearts.)
Shaan: Ask me Khanak! (looking at her face, her hand is still imprisoned in his)
Ritu turns
Ritu: Gujraaal! (exasperated)
Khanak is sure Ritu will figure it out in a heart beat
Sonali:Jeej please!
Ritu: Kya hua? Gujral ?(confused)
Khanak: Please!!!! (shooting daggers at him)
He presses ONE button and the Columbia Pictures logo unfurls on screen
He opens her palm, places the remote on it saying "Aha! That fixed the remote!👏😆👏
And walks out of the rec room... as his phone rings
