I am curious and amused by a thought that suddenly struck me.

What if the same "trashy, crappy, useless" TOI journalist

had publsihed an article that said

" KT to be nominated for National Award"

"KT first TV actor to be nominated for Padma Shri"

How many would have trashed the poor journalist in that case?

None?

Probably!

Not one person would have questioned the basis of the article

Not one person would have worried about checking facts

Not one person would have cursed the journalist!

Not one person would have trashed such a respectable newspaper.

I am reminded of a term "shooting the messenger if you dont like the message".

like I said I don't trust TOI at all, be it anything. unless they are able to name the source or even quote properly and not some vague quotes then I can openly say that I wud not even believe TOI. I won't believe it till I hear it from horses mouth.

It goes w/o saying for all articles!

This article only state Karan's quote that says something about friendship and nothing more or less and that is interpreted the same way.

I question the article for its integrity and for its comments they proudly made as Ayesha pointed out how they went beyond and proudly boasted how they got the information, that is not an indication of a true article or journalism. How do you go about and make a comment on a married woman, who herself said that she and KT are best of friends. That line itself says how rubbish their sources are and it is a bunch of cooked up story. I mean they are ruining a married life with such articles. I am surprised how many of us missed that and pointed out on KT.

How many of you in here are in journalism or news writing or in media? Just how many of the people in this forum are beside me who can come up with an argument to contradict my points? I will take each and every word back if that person can prove that TOI is a reliable source in any angle, especially this article.

I think there are some serious allegations being made against a respectable news source here.

Libel and slander accusations against a 150 year old news organization are serious issues.

Unless we have a factual basis for our accusations we should refrain from trashing journalists.

"Freedom of speech does not extend to trashing individuals" I was told confidently once by a Mod!

I am curious to know if the CoC on IF RBO exists only for protecting KT and YM's privacy and dignity or can it also be extended to TOI in this case!

I am also curious know what kind of COC rights are available to regular members like me to protect me in situations like this where my name is being dragged into dirt, in order to protect and defend some TV actor who I dont think has appointed any body on IF-RBO to defend his case!

I will let Veena intervene!

Who are we to say anything about it..Hope he clears it for his own benefit Even otehrwise no woorries

TOI should retract this article and demand Neha to issue a public apology to Ankita Lokhande. This reporter continues to exude jealous venom and hatred towards popular television actors with fabricated articles. It needs to stop now. Neha needs to take these actors families, friends, employers and fans into consideration before publishing such nonsensical yet vicious stories? TOI should bow their heads in shame for sheltering such a person who at best is incapable of writing decent stories and is malicious. Shame on you TOI!! Shame on you!!
