@red: This is the problem IMO, they don't. Correct me if I'm wrong (hopefully I'm not otherwise what follows will be a waste! lol), but RBO has had a change of writers since it's earlier 'golden' period. Think it's safe to say that the writers of any show have a big part to play in character sketches etc. When you create something (i.e. Shanak), you understand, nuture and develop that creation to the best of your ability. In a way, the new writer will find it hard to do justice to Shanak because they don't understand and connect to the characters like the audience does. Not their fault if they joined the show late, but easily rectifiable by going back to the beginning of Shanak's journey, understanding them better and writing a future storyline which correlates with Shanak's journey so far!
The paathshala comment was my (possibly futile 😆) attempt to connect the Sasha track with Shanak. Can be done, remains to be seen whether it will happen...

Shaan, Khanak, and thereafter ShaNak were characters conceptualised, scripted, and nurtured by the golden RBO era team...the same reflected in the product that was on display, then!!
But if change is ineviatble, it is, as you very rightly have stated, the basic duty of the current crop pf writers/CVs/channel to do a sound homework to get a complete feel of what not just ShaNak, but the entire golden RBO era was like...
Only then, can we have a logical progression of events, and not just disjointed episodes, with non-RBOsque characters strewn in together, for consumption!!😡
Furthermore, IMO, there is also an issue with sensibility...dunno if it is TRP driven or what, but the sensibility currently on display is completely alien to the original fabric of RBO!!!
If only the CVs would care...
But they obviously have better things to do in life!!! 😆
