In recent times I have only watched one Pakistani serial with interest and the name is Vasl. I won't call it my favourite but yes I started watching it because I liked the lead actors from before. Saw them on TV talk shows! (btw I watch pak talk shows okay lol) I watched it completely because of the lead actors and because it was shot in America and the scenery llooked refreshing!! Otherwise the story did not appeal to me!😲 it was the same get divorced, marry someone else, deal with life, compromise and what not.

Okay coming to the explanation! Pak serials make me feel uncomfortable because almost all of them focus on the evils of society! For example the concept of second marriage by the guy just because he is allowed to (even if it is not required), the guy continuing to stay with the first wife and having 3 other wives in different areas of the city, the father in law having an affair with the mother of his DIL, to the corruption in society, the extra marital affairs, and other evils and what not. These are just examples and I agree that this happens in real life and stuff but at the end of the day I will watch a certain serial so that it entertains me rather than make me depressed! I watch a serial to get refreshed, perhaps smile after a tough day at work, or maybe just to give a little rush of adrenaline with a bit of suspense. But I do not like such harsh in-your-face realities of life thrown at you by something that is meant to entertain you. Btw I am only talking of Drama Serials not the comedy serials! Those are a blast everyone should try them sometimes

Comparison

Pros of Pak Serials over Indian Serials

They have a short life

They have a set story from beginning to end hence no involvement of fans which is actually good lol

Brilliant Acting; I have never seen any actor go OTT in a Pak serial :s

Real Locations so the serial looks real (Eg: Restaurants, hospitals, etc are all real no sets!)

Natural Make up and Natural clothes and light jewellery, making it more real (Comparing only to certain indian shows in which the women slept in their heavy make up and jewellery)

Cons of Pak Serials over Indian Serials

They don't have Romantic Jodis! A girl with someone one day will be romantically involved with the other in the next episode! There are hardly eternal love jodis like Shanak that make us fall in love with them!

Too much focus on Evils in society!

They don't allow the viewer to get attached to the show and the characters or indeed any jodi (this could also be a Pro if a certain viewer doesn't want to get attached to them but I do hence it's a con for me)

Marriage is a beautiful institution and I completely believe in it! However, sadly love is not enough to make it work. There needs to be understanding (very clichd I know), and communication and the ability of one spouse to put him/herself in the place of the other! Once you train your mind to look at situations from your spouse's point of view your marriage should not have any problems! Not only in marriage but in all relationships to be successful, this formula works!

How can i freakin write a story on a MANUAL!! ok i'll give it a try

Once upon a time there was a manual of Treasury that just would not get completed by the person who was writing it! because the person happened to have a friend who would meet her every morning (the friend's night) and distract her on fb chat and hence not let her work!

The manual started feeling ignored and kept reminding the writer to WRITE it! it was bechara sick of seeing it's white pages! it wanted to be filled with the writer's creativity! Hence the manual complained to the writer's boss and the boss one fine day chapa marofied on the Writer and caught her on fb chat! the boss yelled at the writer and then the manual was happy since the writer started to write it!
