Hi All,
This is my first post on IF and the RBO forum. Came across this awesome show a couple of months ago, and have been hooked since! I have been keeping up-to-date with news relating to the show as a silent reader of the forum, but this past week of RBO (and what a week it has been!) has compelled me to sign up and (hopefully) join you all in the fun and discussions you have here. And of course gush about Shanak!
So what made this week so special for me? A lot actually, but I will try to keep this as short and concise as possible.
1. Shanak Scenes
I am sooo happy that the focus is back on Shanak! Personally, I didn't like the Rock On track, as I felt that it wasn't in line with the flavour of RBO. The only thing that kept me hooked was Shanak, K family and the hope that the creatives would revive the magic that was once synonymous with RBO. And I must say that I have been very happy with the show this past week. All Shanak scenes have been exceptional! From the I love you 1 2 3 4 scene at the beginning of the week, to Khanak's high on bhaang act, adorable under the bed scene, RBO title track with flashbacks, right through to the holi episode yesterday, all were praiseworthy. As for KT/YM, I have no words for their perfect portrayal of these two wonderful characters. 👏
Special Mention: The maang scene in the holi song sequence was just breathtaking, especially considering the significance of the act to a woman who was once a widow. And the possessive look on Shaan's face was just...wow! Also loved their conversation by the waterfall scene. Hope to see Shaan take her words to heart and become more responsible, preferably before becoming a father!
2. Khandelwal Family
The best family on TV! Was missing the family interaction. All acted superbly. Loved how all the K women had their men dancing (literally!) to their demands. All couples were mega cute during the holi dance sequence too. CV's have three amazing couples right there! They don't need anyone else! No offence to the actors who portray the other couple.
3. Offscreen Interviews
If I'm not wrong, we had four this week. About time too! Hate how the show is ignored sometimes. 😡 Offscreen interviews raise awareness of the show, so I'm all for them!
Special Mention: TT Interview. Not because of what was said, the looks exchanged or the body language (all droolworthy btw 😳), but simply because it showed that these two really do have a good relationship offscreen. Mischievous KT and shy YM were a treat to watch! I felt they were being 100% genuine too.
4. Honeymoon News
This is what many fans - incuding me - have been waiting for! Hope to see lots of romance and nokh-jokh, but also want to see them connect on an emotional level and talk about things that are important to them, their journey so far etc. The coming weeks of RBO hold a lot of promise, and I for one can't wait!
5. Star One Promoting The Show
Finally! The promos are back and so are the repeats. This can only mean good things for RBO, and hopefully an increase in viewership. It was nice to see Nitin Shukla (Star One Creative Producer I think) supporting RBO on Twitter too. Thanks to all the members/fans that have worked hard to get RBO the justice it deserves. If it wasn't for you guys, they might never have done all this. I will also do my bit from now on through IF. Oh and thanks CV's for actioning fans requests.
6. Khanak's Improved Wardrobe
Although some might not find this important, I'm just happy for YM that they are making an effort with her clothes (and make-up) these days. She deserves the best, not just hand-me-downs from other shows. All other lead actresses have time, money and effort spent on them in this area and so should she. Didn't think it was possible, but she look's even cuter now.
So there you have it! I'm sure you will agree with me when I say that this has been a good week for RBO and it's fans. May it continue to entertain us for many years to come!
P.S. For those of you who read the whole post, apologies for the length - especially considering that I said I was going to keep it short and concise. But I just had so much to say that it ended up being longer than intended. Thanks for taking the time to read it, and I look forward to interacting with you all in the forum. 😳 😊
