Who is Shan ?
When I first began to see this show, Shan was the irresponsible,spoilt rich selfish brat, secure in the love and adoration of his Girlfriend.Shan was an irresponsible Son who loved his parents but did not have any time for them.Shan was a Peterpan who had immense belief in his Family and knew that his parents will bail him out when and if any Grey clouds even ventured into his world, He was completely secure in the thought that his Dearest brother will smote any fire breathing Dragon and keep Shaanland dragon free,He knew that his Princess was always there to cool him with her TLC ..This was Shan, A carefree, irresponsible ,thoughtless Boy.
One fine day Shan's parents , realizing that although their Son has become beefy , is still Soft in between his eyes sent him on a toughening course to an outpost.Shan arrived grumbling,complaining and full of woes and in a typical shan style of carelessness caused a death of an innocent.Suddenly Shan found himself without his protective blanket and without the safety net that might cushion his fall..Retribution awaited him , It was either Death by Stoning or Marriage to the Widow.This was the test of his love for his princess but did we see the Loyal Lover, No !! Madame ..We saw a selfish,practical Shan who threw away the professed love of his life in an blink of an eye without a care or a pause for thought about how this will impact on his lady love who was waiting for him......This was Shan , A Selfish, Pragmatic , Ruthless man.
Shan brings his own form of Hell home ,Gradually Shan begins to realize that the witch who came to destroy his life,the dracanae who was out to gobble up his happiness was actually a dainty flower, An light bearing angel, A woman of substance ..Shan befriended her was in turn challenged and motivated by her.Shan drew up on his reserves and began to grow up, began to assume responsibilities , began to be accountable for his action's and the aftermath.In due course of time Shan moved away from his lady love yet did not want to break her heart so in turn broke his own and willingly accepted the difficult and onerous task of giving his Lady love all the love of the world.This was Shan , A caring,sensitive,Responsible , Dynamic Man
But Fate was Kind and all truth were revealed.His Lady Love freed him from his bonds and set him free...Unfettered and unshackled Shan flew straight into the waiting arms of his real love...days of bliss followed..days filled with serenity , days of being serenaded, Days filled with sunshine , Nights lit by million stars..In fact it appeared that there was no one or anything that could eclipse the happiness in their tiny world.. we were proved wrong , for there appeared an echo from the past ..immediately shan is stirred, his trust is shaken, His love falters and he gets suspicious..This was Shan ..A insecure, jealous and possessive lover..
As luck would have it..or should we say as bad luck would have it , His love comes to know about the unholy and demeaning thoughts entertained in Shan's bosom.Hurt by his lack of faith, Betrayed by his absence of trust..His love retires sadly but with dignity..The moment His love steps back..the love and the faith that was dormant leaps back and Shan roasts in that inferno..Shan takes a vow of redeeming himself and forthwith sets to win back his love..Shan does win her back after completing the tasks set out for him and battling out his innate laziness and selfishness and fear..This was Shan A thoughtful, humble, penitent and forgiving man.
Who is Shan Then ?
Is he a paradox, an Enigma, A puzzle ...whatever he is ..it will be compellingly interesting to watch him on his voyage of discovery.
