As we stand on the threshold of embarking on yet another ShaNak journey......couldn't help but reminisce about our awesome twosome.......😍
What an unique amalgamation of 'human' attributes these two are, really.......
So on the one hand we have Shaan offering Anand the bait of a jacuzzi and video games to accompany him to Bombay 😆......while on the other hand, we have his lovely wife Khanak worrying herself crazy about her mission of 'bride-hunting' for Anand having remained unaccomplished!!! 😊 If this does not define innocence, what does??!!!
In the same breath we have Shantanu Khandelwal possess the depth and insight to acknowledge in his trademark adorable, unpretentious manner that there is a lot of catching up to do vis-a-vis his role and the wedding vows........while we have the ever so talking nineteen to the dozen Khanak have the astuteness to let her husband take centrestage during the "renewal of the wedding vows" moment!!! If this is not wisdom personfied, what is????!!!!
👏👏👏
As for the sheer magic created when these two 'once-in-a-lifetime' characters come together, will let my words take a backseat.....will try and recreate some of the ShaNak magic with an all-time favourite number by the band Agnee....
So here goes.....the ShaNak Magic Unplugged!!!
Aahatein.....
Ho rahi teri.....
Dil ke dar pe mere.....
Tu yahin hai kahin na kahin....
Kabhie mere khwab sa....
Kabhie uljhe jawaab sa....
Ke chanda mein bhi daag sa...
Mere jaisa tu....
Ke dariya ka ho ek sira....
Ke armanon ka silsila.....
Ke sehra main bhi aag sa...
Mera jaisa tu.....
Aahatein.....
Ho rahi teri.....
Dil ke dar pe mere.....
Tu yahin hai kahin na kahin....
Any ShaNak post would remain incomplete without the 'gems' behind them.....KT and Yashu!!!
⭐️👏⭐️👏
Is there anything that still remains to be said??? Ok!! Shall make a feeble attempt.....
For actors who possess the talent to make a classic Jodha Akbar scene entirely their own......
For actors who have the potential to diminish the pain of their viewers having to bid adieu to a wonderful character like Anand....
For actors who have the ability to make the most mundane hugs and eye-locks look fresh each time.....time after time.....
For actors whose silence 'speaks' as much as their mindless banter.....
For actors whose 'action-reaction' scorches the screen even when the scene involves a third person....
For actors whose chemistry is in the same 'space' even without eye contact.....
CVs, would sincerely request you to tap the potential of such gifted actors to the fullest......simply put.....characterisation has always been the strength of RBO, in this day and age of 'me-too' products......you even have the talent to support you!!!
Here's looking forward to a successful synergistic reaction between talent and characterisation!!!
Cheers!!
