After reading all ur posts I realized - what a budthal I am indeed. I've kept trying to analyse the logic in the sequence of the hug - instead of relaxing and enjoying - this beautiful moment - their first mutual hug.
And wow now that I saw in this way - I realize what a beautiful piece it is. Indeed as most of u said it is a sweet hug rather than a passionate hug.
It is a hug which one gives when overjoyed regarding something they achieved - a bear hug we generally give while sharing a happy news with someone - like 'Maa mein pass ho gaye' sort (dont kill me with ur angry looks for using maa for a shanak moment)
Unlike the earlier hugs - this one is different. Yes Khanak wants a bear hug -after seeing shaan so proud of her idea - and longing for the hug she closes her eyes as she restrains herself - she comes from a village right.
Shaan knows what khanak wants and infact he also wants to hug her - and just imagines it - and in the process really hugs her.
But the way he hugs her this time is really cute. Earlier hugs came spontaneous without any thought. But this time he has realised that Khanak is his love. There's slight hesitation/coyness when he starts hugging her - as now he knows he is hugging his love.
He hugs her but not completely - he waits for her response (thats wat ppl in luv do right - not just jump and do what they want but also ensure what their luv wants). Only when khanak reciprocates does he hug her completely. Khanaks response pleases him and he blissfully enjoys the fact that he is lucky to have khanak and knows khanak does like him (does she love him is what he ponders later).
Khanak closed her eyes in earlier hugs as that was sudden passion. But this time it was pure love. A pure love that she also wanted. She wanted to savour the whole moment completely. She loved being liked by shaan. She loved being hugged by Shaan and she knows how important shaan feels abt her. She wants to drink the whole moment thru her eyes. She was just enjoying the sight of shaan hugging her.
This is a beautiful hug - a hug of pure love - a hug that showed that both are feeling blessed to have the other person in their life.
