Love them very much, but still hate them?

Do you hate the things that those whom you LOVE the most, do?

It's a situation we have all been in, just as our friends Khanak and Shantanu, Mayank and Nupur, to our darlings Geet and Maan. We asked some of your favourite celebs to share what makes them hate the things that those whom they LOVE the most do.

Natasha aka Rucha Gujrati from Rang Badalti Odhani
Sometimes I feel I dislike my sister Isha because we keep fighting and have arguments. We share a cute rapport but fight like Tom and Jerry. In fact, we disagree a lot, but then, I just can't stop loving her.

Khanak aka Yashashri Masurkar of Rang Badalti Odhani
I am very clear about my feelings. If I hate someone I would hate him and if I love someone, it won't transform into hatred. I don't like to mix my feelings.

Shantanu aka Karan Tacker of Rang Badalti Odhani
Personally, hate for me is a very harsh term. I would not like to hate anyone, and have actually never had a love-hate relationship. But I think couples, married or unmarried, do share such a relationship and, in a way, it is cute. Since, I am single, and so, I am unlucky to not have anyone who I can love and hate at the same time.

The Many Faces of Khanak

Think of Khanak from STAR One's Rang Badalti Odhani, and a cheerful, talkative and bubbly girl comes to mind. But that's only one face of Khanak. Khanak has not always been the carefree girl, but has essayed several powerful roles. Let's take a look at the many faces of Yashashri Masurkar as Khanak.
The Dutiful Daughter

Khanak might be the daughter-in-law of Takhat Singh and Raj Kunwar, Suraj's parents, but there has never been a time when she has not thought of them as her own parents. Her concern for them and for her sister-in-law Gopi reflects in every word and action of hers.

Be it taking care of Suraj's parents or standing by them in their difficult times, Khanak has always been there for them. She does not hesitate to sell off her beloved camel, Champak, when money is urgently needed for Raj Kunwar's surgery. Neither does she hold back in asking Shantanu for the money that he had promised Suraj's family at the time of their marriage, to put Takhat Singh's haveli out of mortgage.

Khanak's fan Urmi has this message for her on STAR One: 'Yashu, you have been doing brilliantly right from the beginning. We can never imagine anyone else as Khanak. And what a killer smile you have.'
The Caring Sister

Khanak is no less than a sister to Suraj's sister Gopi. A good friend, she is quick to take the blame when Mrs. Khandelwal sees an expensive vase in their house breaking in a playful fight between the duo.

When Khushboo is rude to Gopi, Khanak is quick in standing up for her and requesting Khushboo not to talk to her family rudely. She is happy to see Gopi bonding with Shantanu and forgiving him for the mishap with Suraj. Khanak's eyes brim over on seeing Gopi tying a rakhi to Shantanu , in memory of Suraj.

Jyo, one of Khanak's fans, says about her: 'Yash, you are a fabulous actor. I just love your innocence, and not to forget your million dollar smile to die for. I just love it. Keep up the good work, and all the best.'
The Loyal Wife

Khanak is a devoted wife to Suraj, and is devastated on his death. Circumstances force her to get married to the rich industrialist's son, Shantanu, and accompany him to Mumbai. Initially shattered by this marriage of convenience, Khanak gets just as devoted to Shantanu. In spite of facing harsh criticism and taunts for everything that she does, Khanak stands alongside Shantanu and does her best to help him in his daily chores.

It is Khanak who motivates Shantanu to earn his own money, and leave his dependence on his family. It is she who inspires him to sign his first business deal, and to take work seriously. She becomes so much a part of Shantanu's life that he cannot think of a life without her, and starts missing her when she is not around. Even Mr. Khandelwal and Akshay start warming up to her, and accept her as Shantanu's wife and their daughter-in-law.
The Chirpy Friend

Chirpiness is Khanak's middle name. There's never a dull moment when she is around. The villagers of Dhulwadi love her for the laughter and cheer that she spreads around her. It is this chirpiness and playfulness of Khanak that Shantanu came to like, and gradually fell in love with her.

Even when her life is in shambles, the dash of chirpiness is never missing from Khanak's attitude. Shantanu might be very angry with Khanak, but he cannot stay away from her playfulness for long. As Dadima puts it, it took a Khanak to make the dreary Khandelwal 'house' a 'home'.

Kheerni, one of Shantanu and Khanak's fans, has this to say about the jodi on SBO forums: 'I am particularly enjoying Shaan's journey in feeling connected to her beyond what he thought necessary, the tie that binds a man to his wife. I watch intently to see how slowly and surely Khanak gets under his skin and he under hers.'
The Determined Woman

Khanak is among the few bold ladies in the village of Dhulwadi, who stands up against the rich, spoilt brat Shantanu and demands justice in the Panchayat, as against the monetary compensation that Shantanu is offering. Shantanu knows he's up against a tough woman when she refuses all his attempts to convince her to accept the compensation.

She shows her determined face once more by deciding to fight it out with Natasha in the battle of love against duty. She proves that she is no ordinary woman by standing up to the challenges of city life and embracing it. She learns the ways of the sophisticated world, learns to speak English, and makes Khushboo and Mrs. Khandelwal eat their words, all proving just how determined she is, when she sets her mind to things. She does not hesitate hiding Shantanu's mobile charger when her love is in danger of being snatched by Khushboo and Mrs. Khandelwal, and puts all her might into escaping their eye at the hotel.

Veena KR, a fan of Khanak, says: 'Just be yourself, Khanak... we see a diamond in the rough!! You are already making a place in everyones heart.. some are tougher than the other.. Chin up .. and we are here to support you..'
The Faithful Daughter-in-law

Insults and taunts might be hurled at her, she might be criticized and condemned by Khushboo and Mrs. Khandelwal – but Khanak never steps back from being the faithful daughter-in-law that she is. She takes care of the entire family's needs, and makes the day-to-day chores run like clockwork.

Khanak believes in winning the love of Khushboo and Mrs. Khandelwal, and earning her position as daughter-in-law, rather than snatching it. She is quite the perfect daughter-in-law, never disrespectful, always loving and caring. Even when Shantanu questions her about the letter he had written to her, she does not reveal Mrs. Khandelwal and Khushboo's secret.

As one of Khanak's fans, Shriya Suresh, says: 'I very much like this about Khanak. The way she cares for her family is awesome. She does not give in easily to money or other temptations and always tries to help others .Khanak is a sweet, honest, innocent soul. Pray she remains like this forever.'
The Passionate Lover

Beneath all her layers, Khanak is a passionate lover as well. She falls for Shantanu's charm and wit, and her love is deep and true. On getting to know Shantanu better, she falls for his good-heartedness and generosity. She accepts Shantanu as her own and is ready to forget Suraj. She forgives Shantanu for the mishap with Suraj.

The passionate lover in Khanak is overjoyed to learn that Shantanu loves her and wants to be with her forever. She then does her best to pacify the upset Shantanu, and assure him of her love. Lost in colourful dreams of her future with Shantanu, she does not hesitate dressing up as a hotel bellboy and waiter to bring a smile on Shantanu's face.

Preethi Kumar, one of Khanak's fans has this to say about her: 'She is a very intelligent and street smart girl. And the loving glances of shanak couple were so beautiful..'

Dating a Supernatural?

Pyaar Kii Ek Kahaani is story is about Pia (Sukirti Kandpal) who falls in love with Abhay (Vivian Dsena) who has supernatural powers. We asked some popular actors how they would feel if they were in a relationship with a supernatural character.
Shantanu aka Karan Tacker (Rang Badalti Odhani)
Wow! It would an interesting love story. It would be thrilling as well that I am having an affair with like a vampire maybe, they are so sexy but they would suck my blood. I would love to experiment on this.
Natasha aka Rucha Gujarati (Rang Badalti Odhani, STAR One)
I think love is unconditional but supernatural is very unrealistic. I really cant relate or understand the supernatural. I will face it if it happens.
