The stars of the small screen have been going the Bollywood way of late. We have heartily enjoyed the song sequences enacted by these stars on the vairous Star One shows. Let's take a look at some of their sweet, song-and-dance sequences.
This song sequence came at a time was Shantanu was upset about the situation with Khanak and Natasha, and wanted to apologise to Natasha for quarrelling with her. A couple of drinks make him see Natasha in Khanak, and he breaks into song.
After the romantic song sequence ala Fashion, Shantanu ends up staying the night over in the same room with Khanak, not remembering anything the day after. It is this fateful night that creates a rift between Shantanu and Natasha for the first time, creating doubts in Natasha's mind about Shantanu's trustworthiness. It also foreboded the unlikely friendship between Shantanu and Khanak.
Iktara from Rang Badalti Odhani
Khanak is unable to take Khushboo and Mrs. Khandelwal's snubs any more and leaves the Khandelwal mansion. Shantanu, bound by the call of duty, goes out to look for her. He does find her, and then begins a new chapter in their lives – one of friendship and trust. Their hearts burst into song with the first rain of the season, as if celebrating their new bond.
The upbeat song Iktara from Wake Up, Sid! marks the beginning of a series of adventures in the life of Shantanu and Khanak – from Khanak helping Shantanu to wear Suraj's clothes and forcing him to eat street food for the first time in his life, to Shantanu working as a waiter to earn enough money to take Khanak back home to Mumbai.
Jab Se Tere Naina from Rang Badalti Odhani
Shantanu has now realized that he loves Khanak greatly. With the realization came great passion and joy. It was as if Shantanu's heart couldn't stop itself from breaking into song, touched by the newly realized love for Khanak. It was nice to see the Greek God bubbling over with immense joy and shaking his legs to the tune of Jab Se Tere Naina from Saawariya.
The song sequence brings Shantanu to the realization as to how much he loves Khanak. He is hopeful for his feelings to be returned by Khanak, but fearful to express them to her. He decides to reach a respectable position at work before he confides his love to Khanak.
