yes Gurmeet looked extremely handsome in vanvaasi attire..even Ankit looked quite good...and so true Gurmeet look lot more handsome with open hair though he looks good in crown and royal attire

Rama and Laxmana had open hair when they were leaving for forest. They matted their hair with tree sap after reaching forest. Soon Gurmeet n Ankit will be seen in matted hair. While describing the various troubles of staying in forest Rama in Sarga(chapter)28 of Ayodhya Kand told Sita "......Oh, Sita the princess of Mithila! Fasting is to be done to the point of utter exhaustion. Clothes of bark are to be clad and mass of matted hair has to be worn on the head. The celestials, the ancestors, the guests who arrive are to be worshipped always according to the preseribed rites. Bath is to be performed three times a day at appropriate time by the one moving in the forest, with one's mind kept in restraint. Hence, living in a forest is very much a misery. Oh, Sita the innocent! Offering is to be done with flowers gathered by oneself at the altar, according to the rites prescribed by sages. Hence, living in a forest is a hardship....."

Sita was given some garments n jewellery by Dasrath.Dasrath became enraged when Keikayi offered her(Sita)tree barks. A verse in chapter 40 of Ayodhya kand reads

"vanavaasam hi samkhyaya vaasaamsyaabharaNaani cha |
bhartaaramanugachchhantyai siitaayai shvashuro dadau || 2-40-15"

"For Seetha who was accompanying with her husband, Dasaratha gave away garments and jewellery, taking into consideration the period for which she had to stay in the forest."

i wish the makers of RAMAYAN DO NOT SHOW GURMEET & ANKIT IN THEIR TIED HAIR STYLE !! I WUD HATE TO SEE GURMEET & ANKIT IN THT HAIRSTYLE !!!

LOOK at diwaker pundir as RAM in show RAVAN ,he is not being shown with his tied hair style in the vanvasi attire ,diwaker pundir is being shown with open hair as RAM becaz it suits him !!

i think the makers shud take at least a bit liberty in the hair style ,becaz all charm of GURMEET & ANKIT WUD B EFIZZED OFF !! IN THEIR tied hair style in vanvasi attire .

dont worry Sita11, even if he ll tie hair , he ll prove his best and its not only his hair style making him perfect. Even I wish he shld be as it is, but no worries, His charm , lotus eyes, his style, body language, n soft dialogue deliveries will always be there.

Dasrath was a great father n father-in law. He did not wanted Sita to go to forest.
While preparing for vanavasa Ram n Sita donated all their personal belongings. So nothing was left with them.
