Sagars are coming up with another period serial Amrapalli (the legendary dancer featured in Jataka Tales) which would probably come on Star Plus or Star One. They are not sure when this serial will start filming. I hope it is taken well like the Old Bollywood movie of the same name which I saw with my parents long ago when it came as a re-run. That movie starred yesteryear Bollywood actors Vijayantimala and Sunil Dutt (Sanjay Dutt's dad). I hope the Sagars can re-create the same magic. I would like to see Gurmi as King Ajathashatru.

Thanks for the info, Khal😊 I have read this story only in the Amar Chitra Katha version 😆 If the Sagars take up this project, they should def consider Gurmi as the king. He will be awesome!

Thanks for the info Khalrika! Gurmeet would def be good as the king, but they should also consider Ankit and Lalit, as they too have done an outstanding job!

Thanx for sharing the information ..hope sagar's recast Ankit,Debina,Vikram etc.... in the new series... but till then lets hope... that they give us similar gifts like Ramayana.

I will look forward for Gurmeet and Debina , they make a great onscreen pair....

my parents r saying that u must watch dis serial coz dey saw the film on that n dey r saying dat the film was super duper hit n a wonderful portrait film...........

now the Sagars r taking d responsibilities thn def its going to rock.......

thnk u di for da info! i hv not read nor watched any books/movies regarding Amarapali so i guess i wud be great to know bout her! thnks for letting us know bout this new serial. hope they wud start filming it!
