Who said I don't like cricket? Still passionate about the game even after leaving India sooooooooooooooo many years ago. Subscribed for Zee sports just to watch cricket! Only, I prefer ICL more than IPL. Don't ask me why! Dunno. My fav team in ICL is Chennai Superstars, of course. I am currently watching the highlights of last year's Chennai Superstars vs Lahore Badshahs.
Okay, before Chandra finds my old posts I am gonna say I take back what I said the other day. I was in a bad mood the other day. I like the Chennai Superkings and that's cos of Mathew Hayden. Having said that, I still prefer Cricket played between countries.
I also like watching "Test at its Best" showing the highlights of old test matches. I am weird, I still like test matches. 😆 One thing I do miss even now is watching a good match live in a stadium.
I think Swati's original question was asked seeing some 6 votes for the 'Don't care' category, and only 1 for any of the teams, aside from the SuperKings. None ironically for the Royal Challengers or Chargers, as of this post.

I'd go one better on you. I prefer tests to ODI's! 😆😆😆In fact, in the 2000s, after ODI's swamped the calender, tests ceased to be boring draws, since the ODI tendency of taking more batting risks, improved fielding, et al spread on to tests, and as a result, one doesn't too often see totals like 500+ as happened in NZ recently. Most tests in the 2000 have tended to have results, as opposed to just piling on runs the way they did in the 80s.
I was initially skeptical about 20-20s, but given how packed the calendar is, if this reduces the likelihood of injuries, I'm all for it. Of course, I'd be totally against ICC rankings for 20-20s.
I too like the ICL, and hate how the BCCI horned in on the action later to try and hijack the program. At any rate, the fact that many, if not most, teams are evenly matched prevents the sort of monopoly that Australia had in the 90s and the 2000s. I mean, Gilchrist and McGrath in different teams, Smith and Gibbs are separated, et al. Of course, sometimes you do have teams ending up with dream combos like Gilchrist & Gibbs, but that can't be helped. And the retired players like Hayden and Gilchrist are almost batting like gods at the moment. Of course, if you have owners like in KKR where they don't know whom to bid on, then you're out of luck.
I too got out of the cricket habit in the US, but aside from being a fan of my college basketball team, I never really got to understand baseball, football and (ice) hockey. While I had assimilated in many ways, sports unfortunately wasn't one of them. It's still cricket for me.

My condolences. But you ain't missing much on the Ramayan end. But hey, ask them to restore NDTV Imagine over one of your least favorite channels that no one watches - maybe another vernacular channel, if there.

So who would you root for if/when Daredevils meet Royals?😃😃😃

Chandra Bhaiyaa if i need to support anyone of them then it will definetly be Rajasthan Royals....
becoz by heart true Rajasthani ...😃
By the way anyone among them wins... still i wiil be happy becoz..... i support both of them..
Sam
Cool😎😎😎
I'm sure you're impressed by Rajasthani imports like Shane Warne👏 who's doing a brilliant job despite being stuck with a second rate batting line-up (compounded by Smith being out of form). Hope he does something about it, like he indicated in the post match presentation.

KKR is my fav as well, except that they've hardly managed to bag anybody good this season. Dada, good as he is, is not a match for other teams that have the likes of Hayden, Gilchrist, Gibbs, de Villiers, et al, and neither does Mendis seem a match for Murli, Warne, Steyn, Malinga, et al. They need to start with kinbo, khyalabo (buy & play) before they do the korbo, lorbo, jeetbo jig.😉😉😉
But thanks for your responses everybody!😊
