Hanuman Mandir is situated at the Baba Kharak Singh Marg (road) near Connaught Place. One of the oldest Hanuman temples in the country, it was built by Maharaja Jai Singh in the year 1724. However, since the time of its construction, the Lord Hanuman Temple of New Delhi has undergone many restorations. One of the highlights of the temple is the 24-hour chanting of the mantra 'Sri Ram, Jai Ram, Jai Jai Ram', since August 1, 1964. This continuous chanting has even secured a place in the Guinness Book of World Records.
The idol in the Delhi Hanuman Mandir represents the Lord in a very young age, that of a Balak (young child). The idol faces south and is known as the Bala Hanuman. In the left hand of the Lord Hanuman idol is a Gada (a weapon) and the right hand rests over his chest as in prayer. The main Dwar (gate) of the Hanuman Mandir is adorned with embossed artwork that depicts the great epic "Ramayana" completely. The temple was rebuilt and renovated during the late seventies. Apart from being considered as a sacred place, the temple is also known for 'mehendi' work done on the hands of ladies outside the temple. Lord Hanuman Temple of Delhi gains a special significance every Tuesday, when it is thronged by thousands of devotees.

Hey Guys there is very beautiful story which I saw in one of the old movie on Ramayan
Once Hanumanji tolsd Ramji that he want to serve him… then everybody ask how will he gonna serve him then he said I will snap my fingers whenever you will yawn… one day Ramji was yawning continuously and as a part of his duty.. Hanumaji continuously snapping his fingers.
In the night when Lord was taking Rest in his Room… Hanumanji was there to serve for the same.. but Sitaji asked Hanuman to Go and take rest but Hanumanji said as per his duty he could not go.. but some how Sitaji convinced him to go… Well Hanumaji as a gr8 devotee could not stop his work.. so when he came out of the fort.. he start singing and dancing and keep snapping his fingers.
Here Ramji… when he yawned he was not able to close his mouth as Hanuman was not there… Everyone in the palace got tensed.. then sage Vashista went outside and brought the Hanuman with him,and then Hanumanji snapped his fingers after that Ramji was able to close his mouth.
At this point Sitaji realized her mistake and invited Hanumaji for the food , then Hanumaji said he will eat the food only when Sita Mata will cook for him.
Asn she got agree with that. Next Day when Hanumaji came to eat… He keep on eating without stopping infact… before maid could bring another serve food was already eaten by Hanumanji… and he keep on saying that Mata bring more food I'm Hungry..
By this whole stuff of the kitchen got finished Sitaji got tensed what will he give to Hanuman now so she went to Kaushalya Mata.. with her problem… Kaushalya advised her to order food from some halwai… but problem with that was Hanumanji will easily recognized that it was not made by Sita mata…
I could not recall what happen next… but as far I remember Sita mata… went to Hanumaji and told her that she did not have any stuff to cook then Hanumanji very sweetly asked her to give Tulsi patta and with that he got contended…
