i remember in one of the interviews neha said, they are not sure if during those times sindoor pratha was there or not..??? and she also mentioned that during vanvaas sitama had her streedhan with her...and she mentioned the name of jewels also..i forgot what were they...

lets see how she is gonna appear onscreen

Really? Sindur was most definitely there during that time because in Valmiki Ramayana, there is a description of Sitaji's look in the ashok vatika when Hanumanji sees her for the first time. It mentions that Sita had long lustrous hair (which is shown in the pic), dark sindur up her parting, and minimal jewelry since she had thrown everything else from the pushpak vimaan when Ravan kidnapped her.

But let's see how she appears onscreen. Maybe she was not done getting dressed in this pic, but the rudraksha is still strange to me. I wonder why they're showing Sitaji wearing rudraksha.

GROSS DUFFER BUNCH OF PEOPLE!!! I mean LOL insecurity at its best..haahahah Can't believe thse silly ppl are creating such a ruckus about Laxman Urmila stories that too just being shared on their wall LOL..LIKE SERIOUSLY 😆I am not angry at all.I feel pity for people with such HYPOCRITICAL STANDARDS.GOOD LORD THEY WANT RAMAYAN ONLY WITH LORD RAM.

I cannot believe Gurmeet fans would bash Ramayan on Zee Tv's wall. No Gurmeet fan would be that stupid because he's also acting in a Zee Tv show right now and bashing another actor would malign his image.😕 Why would Gagan fans also bash Neil? He's the Lakshman of their own show!

no janaki i m not saying tht gurmeet fans will do this y would they???? i said i stood for guru too being a non fan becoz he played a sacred role i understand ppl sentiment if i could stand for guru and gagan i will def stand for neil coz of him i m watching this mytho as simple as tht..😳...and i m not sure about gagan fans ...

some ppl are creating havoc everytime neil's pics comes out or there is article pertaining to lakshman... now y this is happening it never happened wen neil did gulaal ...infact we never had bashers previously y all of sudden these pseudo bhakt popped out and worse they always have prob with lakshman if zee tv post neil pics as lakshman they say u should rather post lord rama pics ...if zee tv share some stories on lakshman they say u shouldnt give importance to lakshman and concentrate on ram lord rama wont be happy seeing this...wht the hell now tell me wht should i conclude who are these bunches of idiots ?????

That's really absurd! Don't know, but mythological shows always have problems from pseudo-bhakts because they just like making trouble. Trust me, you will find comments like these under the youtube videos of RS Ramayan and AS Ramayan also.

sindoor was prevalent at sitamaa time and sindoor of sitamaa is considered very auspicious...they are so many tales related with sitamaa's sindoor...once hanumanji was fainted on the way to ayodhya ram and lakshmanji halted at the place and sitamaa sat besides hanuman ramji asked lakshmanji to call the vaidya immediately , meanwhile sitaji looked at hanuman and took some sindoor from her forehead and applied on the forhead of hanuman ...she looked at ramji and said as this sindoor protected me from ravana hanuman's life will be saved too and to the suprise hanuman woke up and was healthy and from tht day sindoor is applied on lord hanuman (folktale from UP)

another folktale as everyone knew , Hanuman's idol in temples across India is smeared with Sindoor --- an orange red powder/ paste that women in India put on their hair parting as a symbol of their being married. Legend has it that once when Sita was putting sindoor on to her scalp, Hanuman saw this and asked its significance. Sita said, "I put it on so that Ram will love me". Hanuman thought to himself, "If Ram will love Sita just for putting a small amount of Sindoor, how much will he love me if I cover myself with it." And so he smeared Sindoor all over his body.

now coming to ramcharitmanas there is a doha or sarga of tulsidasji wen lord rama was applying sindoor on the sitaji forehead on their wedding its something like this

"rama siya senduri dehim

sobha kahi na jati bidi kehim

aruna paraga jalaju bhari nekim

sahishi bhusa ahi lobha amikem..."

the meaning is ram siya senduri dehim

(lord rama is applying sindoor on sita's forehead (senduri means sindoor)

soba kahi na jati bidi kehim

(the charm of this gesture cant be aplty described in words)

aruna paraga jalaju bhari nekim

(it appears as if snake is filling the red pollen in a lotus)

sahisi bhusa ahi lobha amikem

(in its greed to drink the nector decorating the moon)

so tulsidas himself depicted tht sindoor pratha was prevalent at tht time...

u know taking sindoor from sitaji's idol is considered auspicious and married woman do sindoor daan tht is they apply sindoor to sitaji's idol and after applying the sindoor the sindoor is considered as holy and then they take some sindoor back and apply in the forehead and it is believed tht by doing so their husband's age increases and their jodi will be blessed as ram- sita's jodi😳

acutally there is controversy regarding mangalsutra as wearing mangalsutra wasnt culture in central region infact today even in lots of central indian wedding magalsutra daan isnt a part of rituals...there is story tht say sitaji had seen mandodari putting mangalsutra and mandodari explained her the importance of mangalsutra later on wen sitaji arrived at ayodhya she began to wear mangalsutra to give reverence to mandodari and dhanyamalini (second wife of ravana) who protected her from their husband and this is how wearing mangalsutra became customary...

Also, I hope they make Sitaji wear sindur during the vanvaas episodes. This seems like an offscreen pic so we can't judge yet, but Sitaji wore sindur and a mangal sutra at all times. Here she is wearing only rudraksha mala, no sindur or mangal sutra.😳

i really dont know but my grandmom told me tht married woman shouldnt wear rudraksh maala as raudraksh is closely related rudra avtaar of shivji (its formed from the tears of rudra) and rudrasivji was a yogic form thts y woman arent supposed to touch rudraksh... rudraksh could be wore by widows... female austetics ...

i really dont know its correct or not😳

edit rudraksh could be wore by married woman but there are certain rules they need to follow while wearing rudarksh

I found on internet that Sita and Rudraksh has some connection

Seventeen Mukhi Rudraksha

A person can wear Satraha Mukhi Rudraksha on Monday in a gold or silver chain or red thread while chanting, "Om Namah Shivaya". One should worship Goddess Sita while wearing thisRudraksha. It gives relief from all the sins Satraha Mukhi Rudraksha is a symbol of Lord Krishna and Sita. It also represents Lord Vishwakarma, the builder of this world. It brings fortune. This Rudraksha is related to Mother Seeta. The person who wears this Rudraksha after proper Sidhhi (method of purification & charging with Mantra) will get Raja-bhoga and get all kinds of happiness and comforts in his life.

The wearer of this Rudraksha should pray to the mother Goddess Seeta. The wearer of this Rudraksha gets Moksha (liberation) and get success in all of his ventures. This Rudraksha gives the wearer all kind of comforts, leisure and happiness. It provides the wearer with Gold.

This Rudraksha removes all sins done in the life time and provide liberation in the end.
