Yes Fairy, now about the marriage of Maa Sati & Lord Shambhu.

Shiv & Sati being "nitya-abhinna tattva" (one as two), when they decide to manifest their sanantan leela in any realm, for their bhakts,

there's a mundane purpose, besides the Sanatan (eternal) purpose of such leela.

For example, Sita-Ram appearing here for 11,000 years, the eternal purpose, unchanging in all times & all realms, is of course helping their bhakts in their sadhana (roop-dhyan, naam sadhana etc), & mundane purpose was to destroy out-of-control taamsic forces who were lording over all creation, represented by Raavan & his vast armies & innumerable followers, who were into all sorts of depravities, such as cannibalism.
