I was very emotional when I watched the episode. Yeh Ramayan hai, if for a minute we forget we are watching it on TV, its beautiful! I guess focus on the bigger picture! My POV

i feel that nothing wrong , we have seen in zeetv ramayan. they are presenting it in front of whole india .after taking many of experts opinion, they are making it. i feel everything we are seeing in it , it is true and based in ramcharitmanas.we should not questioned over it.

That's not exactly a right attitude to have when watching shows either. We should never blindly believe everything that a mythological show shows us because each and every one adds some fiction to it interspersed in the storyline, and we should be smart enough to know what is fiction and what is written in the actual scriptures. Unless we know what Ramcharitmanas exactly says, we should take others' opinion on the matter of how much interpolation a mythological show does.

I'm not saying her opinion is wrong, just that she should stick to the original sources for true knowledge and watch serials for entertainment. Not everything shows show is real, so blindly believing them gives us the wrong impression of God, which is not good.

As for putting his hand on Ahalya's statue, that's not how it's written in Ramcharitmanas. They cannot change the story simply because a hand could have been used, could they? Also, God's feet has a special place in puranas. They are said to liberate a person spiritually from this physical world. Kevat drank the water of Shri Ram's feet during Ayodhya Kand and was liberated. Likewise, Shri Ram putting his foot on Ahalya's stone is symbolic because the dust of his feet liberates his devotees. Ahalya was purified when Shri Ram put his foot on her body. Take this also for example. When we show respect for elders, we touch their feet, not their hands right? Handshakes or the touching of hands are done between friends or equals, but when a devotee pays his/her respects to God, they touch his feet because God is the master of this whole universe, so when God shows his grace on his devotees, he gives them a place at his feet.
But I agree that the way this scene was shown seemed weird. Instead of putting his foot on her, Gagan placed his toe which was odd.😕 But that's just the presentation of this scene which I agree could have been done better.

its not the feet or hand i m talking... its the statue i m talking about...ahilya wasnt statue but a stone there is a huge difference between the two...as shown in NDTV ramayan and 1986 ramayan lord rama presses the stone by feet and she was liberated...here they are showing statue...woman statue i didnt get how anyone can step on the statue knowingly that its of a sage woman...was lord rama here under any compulsion to touch the statue with feet had it be stone i wouldnt have mind it but lifting the leg and puting the toe on woman statue didnt gave me divine feeling infact i thought it as the disrepect for woman...
thats my POV...

Oh yeah, I agree about that. Showing a statue in the form of Ahalya was very odd and Shri Ram putting his foot on the statue of a woman did not give me a divine feeling either. Like you said, it even seemed a bit disrespectful.
There are many bloopers like that in this Ramayan that shows how hastily it's being done...Ram and his brothers playing hockey, Vasishta painting a portrait of Ram, etc.

hmmm agreed sanjh...infact my first reaction was the same😕 hey thats a statue...!!!!!!!!😲 i m sure if there was a statue instead of stone in original tulsidas ramayan and valmiki ramayan ...lord rama would have never lifted his leg and touched it with feet he must have put hand on the statue😛 but since it was stone in the epic lord rama pressed it with feet😛... as then giving blessing to stone would have looked strange..(infact they showed stone in previous show so it was perfect).😳..but here the statue looked odd to me too.😕...but there are already lots of bloopers it happens in every show thats the way it is😛

regarding the starcast i m disgusted to no end😡 they are killing the other characters in the story 😡morever the story seemed rushed.😲.they skipped the handsome princes visiting mithila nagar which happened before ramji and sitaji meet and the pushpavatika scene was in haste too😲...the pace of the show is like see saw sometimes they go slow sometimes everything seems rushy😕 and .i m noticing here ram lakshman speaks very little...most of the time its background music and some devotional songs keeps playing ... ramji keeps smiling and lakshmanji keeps staring at ramji.😕...y cant ph give any dialogues to them...today the only one to speak was sitaji which acutally came as a suprise package as sitaji was the one who spoke less initally it was indeed a pleasant suprise😳...neha is good😛...urmila oh man i cant tell how am i feeling watching her😭😭😭 after watching her even i have given up all my hopes

Well said, Arti! I was very disappointed with how hastily they showed the Mithila scenes. There was nothing of Ram and Lakshman charming Mithila with their good looks, Sitaji's Gauri Puja (which has a huuuge significance in Ramcharitmanas!), and the pushp vatika was very rushed so I was left feeling disappointed.
I don't like any of the sisters of Sitaji, they are not apt for their roles and won't look good with the brothers of Ramji. They were poorly chosen indeed.Ouch

^ yes and i m little disappointed with the stiff looks ramji gave to sitaji in the pushpavaatika scene it was sitaji and looked like ramji is looking at his ardent follower with the same expression i didnt feel like ramji and sitaji's eyelock
