(I give you, Seeta, my daughter, as your better-half, partner in all vidhi-karma through life and death,

In the presence of all eminent guests; take her palm in your palms!

Dedicated to her husband, extremely well-fated, she will follow you and your karma-path like a shadow.

Just as Himalaya gave his Parvati to Lord Shiva, and unto Narayana Hari gave Sagara his daughter Sri-Lakshmi,

Janaka gave his Seeta, and made an unattainable place for himself in the sky of eminence!)

It's feels so great to see it on tv once again. Bring back many childhood memories. It Is so good to see the three wives so fond of each other and 4 sons are loved equally. I have the more I watch the more I notice things.

Hindu traditional marriage and the rituals, a walk down the memory lane! To reminisce over memories of past events, especially happy ones!

But it is always a sad memory thinking about that bidding farewell to the bride--Bidai. Sita is not exempted from this emotional turmoil!

A father's helplessness while seeing his daughter going far away from him, a mother's loss of words, her preference to talk through tears, a bride's moving away from the canopy of the tender love and caring of her parents to move forward in life! Bidaai is an emotional moment for every bride and her family. ... Indian weddings are all about emotions, warmth, and colours!

The wedding scenes are always my fav...so lighthearted, happy, emotional, romantic, divine...they have all the emotions. ❤️

The post-wedding scenes in Ayodhya are also really beautiful. Have they shown that yet? What epi are they on?

I don't have DD but I've seen this show so many times from my DVD set I almost have it memorized lol.

They should also air Ramanand Sagar's Shri Krishna at the same time...it too is an old classic, and would be the cherry on top.
