Hey everyone...i realised that the 1st episode update had not been posted, and because the show started today in UK, i thought of posting the update of the first episode so here it goes...
Episode starts with an introduction to the Thakur's House. Clips of the big mansion are shown, whilst a narrator narrates a bit about the Thakur, introducing the setting of the show. He starts by saying that the generations of Thakur's and their rulings are now longer a part of the world today, however still this Thakur family today rules in this area, and the house still stands today with high morals and traditions.
The doors of the Mansion open, and camera zooms into the Puja room. (This Haveli is the Haveli shown as Suryakant's house in Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan). A lady is shown doing Aarti and Pooja. Once completing her aarti, she walks towards a room, and sees a young boy reading a book on the swing. She walks upto him and calls him Ambar. This is the youngest son. She asks him about Nandini and Raja, when suddenly, we hear voices of two children running and laughing whilst coming downstairs. Raja is running after Nandini, and suddenly Nandini trips and is about to fall, when Raja holds her arm firmly and saves her. Mother gets frightenend a bit and scolds the children for being so naughty. Raja tells his mother not to worry as he will always look after his sister. The mother looks assured, and goes to complete her pray. She prays to Bhagwan and thanks Bhagwan for giving her such beautiful children and such a happy family. She prays for the well being of her family and husband.
On the terrace, all three kids are flying their paper made aeroplanes in the air, when a real plane passes by. Raja expresses his wish of growing up to becoming a pilot. He promises to take Nandini and Ambar on his first journey as a pilot. All three become happy. The mother comes and calls the kids for breakfast, and tells them to get ready for school.
Evening. Children return from their school, and as promised their mother sits down to put mehendi on Nandini's hands. Raja comes and him and Nandini share a bet on who whether his painting will be completed first or Nandini's mehendi. As the mother is putting mehendi on Nandini's hand, Ambar comes and asks when their father will return. The mother's face saddens and asks why? Ambar replies that he needs to get his report signed. The mother smiles and says she can sign as she is their mother, she sign the report and Ambar leaves. Nandini's mehendi is complete and so is Raja's painting, and they both run towards each other to show that each of them has won the bet. They come face to face and by accident Nandini's mehendi hands are rubbed against Raja's painting. Raja gets annoying and runs after Nandini. On the way he bumps into his mother and shows her the painting saying that Nandini has spoilt it. The mother sees the painting (its a family picture, of the parents and 3 children) she smiles and says that Nandini has not spoilt the painting, but in fact made it look better. Raja looks confused. The mother says that before this was a painting of plain colours, but now thanks to Nandini's mehendi its filled the painting with love. Raja smiles and agrees.
Just then a car is shown proceeding towards the driveway of the Haveli. A Tahkur gets off the car and walks into the house, and walks into his room. A servant runs to tells Raja's mother that Thakur saab has come and is calling her to the room. The mother's saddens once again, but the kids become happy and say they want to go and see their father, but the mother stops them saying they should wait a little, as their father has come from work and must be tired. She says she'll go and meet him, and then call the kids too. Meanwhile they should play in the garden. The kids agree.
The mother walks towards her room, and before she enters she puts her saree pallu straight. Thakur saab is pacing up and down the room looking very angry, and as soon as his wife enters he picks up a flower vase and throws it her way. The wife is shocked. Thakur saab is angry and says that why did she take so long to come. He asks for the keys to the Tijori. The wife proceeds towards him and gives him the keys. He snatches them and goes to take some money. His wife questions why he's taking so much money. Thakur gets angry and says that its his money and he will do what he wants with it. He goes onto saying he wants to spend this money in gambling, drinking, and at the Khotha. His wife says that the kids have been asking for him and he should stop these habits. Thakur gets angry and says that his responisbility was to born kids, and he did so, now its upto the mother of the kids to bring them up. He says nor the kids nor has she ever been refused for something, so whats her problem? She says she admits she has got everything in the house, but... Thakur cuts her straight and taunts her about her family background, and says her mother had run away with another man. He makes her feel really bad and leaves in great anger. The wife cries and picks up the broken pieces of the vase and leaves the room. The servant has heard their talks and feels sorry for her. As Thakur leaves the house, Raja sees him go and runs after him, but Thakur ignores him and leaves in his car. Raja is shocked, and his mother sees this from the terrace and looks upset seeing Raja. Episode ends on Raja's upset face.
