But it's a fact Krishna didn't listen to Jambavati, at all. He wouldn't rescue Samba from Kauravas. Balram had to go.
Of all the characterizations, Jambavati and Satyabhama come closest to text. Rukmini was flowerpot in text, flowerpot here. So yeah, I'd say it fits.
The characterizations which don't fit are RK. Krishna truly comes across as an insufferable egomaniac with a control problem and a wide streak of misogyny.
Krishna didn't follow everything that Jamvanti said doesn't mean he would have completely ignored her or didn't care a bit a bit about her. He didn't rescue Samb probably because Samb's fault wasn't excusable. Abduction of a girl for Marriage is one thing, I mean I know it's bad but they accepted it in their era, but Samb was simply r**ing a girl with no intent of marriage
Coming to Rukmini, they have redeemed the character of Rukmini I guess after feedbacks from audience who consider Rukmini as Lakshmi swaroop and can't take her character disgraced. Else initially her character was that of an over jealous, ultra snobbish and mild arrogant girl. She judged Sudama for his looks and stopped him from entering Dwarika, she started complaining about backpain just because she slept on floor for a night (by the way this is After she was once put in prison by her brother. She was shown to highly jealous of not just Radha but also Satyabhama was shown actually making Krishna swear on her to never speak to Satyabhama
