So i watched the first episode of season 2 Radhakrishna. It started with the voiceover guy brainwashing us with his homegrown prempoorn big bang theory. Then the scene shifted to sakha and sakhi doing ballroom & garba fusion. Shortly after their performance,they started discussing about the upcoming chaos and Dharmsthapana. Sakha promised Sakhi that she will be the catalyst in the unfolding drama. Sakhi expressed her anxiety about their forever milan but he as usual gave her the lollipop of nahi nahi abhi nahi,thoda karo aur intezaar. He even told her how she is the most important thing/person for him bla bla bla. He said how he will need a sarathi in future (lol who is writing their dialogues after doing sasta nasha ?) Sakhi talked about sound telepathy and emotional teleportation. Balraam Dau furiously marched towards Krishna's bedroom ( of course non of his bro's wives was there.) and screamed Kanha !!! Kanha !!! Kanha on the other hand remained nonchalant even after hearing his Dau. Finally Dau used his veto power and ordered his lil bro to come to him at once. Mother nature too gave him hints by chamkaoing bijli and garjaoing baadal (her way of saying,"aye ye tum logon ka prem vrem ho gaya ho toh ab ghar jao re baba,abhi kuch maha apshagun hoga re.") Sakhi sensed those cryptic messages and immediately grabbed her ready-made aarti ki thaali which I'm sure she borrowed from Nandini Raichand(aa aaa aa aaaaa...) and did Sakha's vijay tillak.

Krishna returned to his bedroom only to hear his big bro's over-enthusiastic tada tada talk. This Balraam is so anti-Duryodhan man. Subhadra ain't going to have any problem regarding her affair with Parth. These two suddenly developed some sympathy for their auntie and cousins. Dau aksed him to locate pandavas using his Narayani shakti but Krish refused( uss ko aata sab kuchh hai but karna nahi hota, hype jo khatam ho jaega !) Instead he summoned his pseudo phuphajis i mean the biological fathers of pandavas. A very confused looking Indradev came with his entourage only to end up being more confused by krishna's labyrinthine talk (seedhe seedhe kyun baat nahi karta ye !) Krishna schooled them about their paternal negligence (rofl karma is about to hit our boi) and asked them to go on a searching spree of their lost sons. He later told Dau that these demigods won't succeed ( jab maloom tha toh itna drama kyun kar raha tha ? Iss ke andar ki komolika bechain hone lagti hai kya agar bina drame ke kuchh achchha ho jaaye toh ?)

Now we got introduced to his 5 cousins who were simply messing up with the cosmic balance of universe. Bheem was digging up graves for oceans, also Bheem looks older than his father Vayudev and probably pitamah Bhishma too. Yudisthir is more chanchal than a butterfly. Nakul was invested in some stupid looking sword fight (he literally nudged his opponents aur woh saare behosh ho gaye !!) Sahadev was busy doing some coding program with milky way. Arjun was fighting off with aliens ( he destroyed a whole army of meteors) and last but not the least we also got a sneak peek of a totally misfit starcast except for Duryodhan(he looks cunning) and Mama Shakuni(he is an amazing actor) and the episode ended on a self-aggrandizing note of Krishna's impactless monologue.

Off to watch episode 2. Should i continue giving my stupid reviews ? 🤪

This episode is going down in history as the episode where Krishna actually acknowledged the love of Krishnapremis and expressed his love for someone EXCEPT RADHA !!! It was probably the first time Krishna in true terms acted like Dwarikadheesh. Loved that scene where he showed his affection and care for his subjects. I just love the shree krishna govinda hare murari....background score. It makes you foreget everything else for some moment. ❤ I was hoping to see him in a full sleeves garment though still it looks better than his worn out Barsana ga sadharan balak outfit. Now they have to give a proper makeover to Dau too. His outfits are getting old even his jewelleries are shedding color and my eyes can't take anymore of his nipples (pardon please) playing peek-a-boo in his unbuttoned blouse-top thingy.

I really have not a lot to say about the Barsana scene. It was expected. I'm just frustrated why is Radha justifying her love as sakha prem ??? Why can't she admit that she loves him wholeheartedly. She should leave Ayan and ask him to remarry. Playing the devil's advocate here but it just doesn't make sense that she expects Ayan to not react at all and also expects him to keep this marriage. Just get rid of it gurl ! Poor thing needs some carnal pleasure. Also the cvs are reducing Ayan's character intentionally to make the audience hate him. He is just a commoner and it's futile to wage a war he can't afford to fight. Krishna is a much powerful force and it should be a commonsense to Ayan. Even though he doesn't know Krishna's divinity still he is a Royal prince and a Royal administrator now. How will he erase his name from the face of earth ?! Unnecessarily stupid.

Finally finally finally a good bunch of actors if not excellent. They really did good casting for Duryodhan & Dushashan. They also have much better outfits. They look like a devilish duo. Special shout-out to Drishtadyumna. Damn he has that princely face and physique. Even Drupad fits in his character. Also a welcoming change to see a loving father Drupad who just adores his darling daughter (they showed him hating and cursing her in their previous show). Also somebody enlighten me on this Draupadi-Koshal king marriage. Is it just another fiction by our cvs ?

It was a filler episode but a tolerable one. The precap showed Kunti(a lovely looking woman with fake srands of white hair. Can't they just show her young ? They used to live up to 1000 years in Dwapar Yuga so it's too early to show her grey locks. I think i have seen her acting before in some soap but can't exactly remember. Hopefully she won't disappoint). Our boi looks too smol in that rural guy outfit, everyone is going to dwarf him. On a sweet note, there really is some bromantic chemistry between Parth and Madhav. ❤

Great to see you binge watching all the new episodes ..its just entertainment and for me far away from the scriptures (as usual)

Possessed of every accomplishment and compassionate and sweet-speeched, she is such a woman as a man may desire for wife in respect of her fitness for the acquisition of virtue and pleasure and wealth. Retiring to bed last and waking up first, she looketh after all down to the cowherds and the shepherds.

This is an excerpt from Draupadi’s argument with Yudisthir when she urges him to fight the war. This is a very long discourse, so I have picked up only a line, that shows the depth of her knowledge. This is from Vana Parva,

In the case of a creature, therefore, there must be action and not inaction. Thou also shouldest act, and not incur censure by abandoning action. Cover thyself up, as with an armour, with action.

This is very similar to what Lord Krishna had said to Arjun during Bhagavad Gita. Suta , in Mahabharat every character has praised for their interest on a specific subject with specific human virtue like Arjun is for his philosophy, Karn is for liberty Draupadi is for her knowledge and interest in Law, Constitution, and the methods of implementation.

Here is another interesting fact about Draupadi !!! Dharmaraj and Draupadi had a daughter called Suthanu, who is married to Krishna and Satyabhama's son Bhanu. She was the only living heir of Draupadi!

But there was a special mention about her other daughters, Samyukta from Bheem, Pragya and Pragati from Arjun, Printha from Nakul and Sumitra from Sahadev. But there was no further information regarding those daughters.

Episode - 4

Okay everyone now hear me out !!!!

I am 100% sure that Rukmini reincarnated herself as Parth to romance Krishna. Proof ? Have you seen Parth's hair ? Those braided locks ? Have you seen his besotted glances that he gave to Krishna ? Have you seen his tranquil excitement after hearing the name Madhav ? You should and I'm sure it will remind you of someone. Yes you are right. It's Rukmini.

So the episode started with Krishna making fool of Dau. Nothing new. Poor Dau. Why don't they include him in some serious issues. Is he only there for comic relief ? They didn't even show his birth and completely omitted Rohini from his life. They didn't even show Vasudev recognizing him as his 7th son. Such unfair treatment to such a crucial character. Sigh. 😔

The pandavas have made a polished plywood palace in the middle of a ghana jungle and are displaying their warrior skills to every available person; one is erecting arrow bridges, another is shifting a gigantic hill from its place and yet they are living in constant fear of disclosing their real identities and being found ! 🤪kunti is such a let down. She is acting weird. Probably too young an actress to relate to motherly worries and dilemmas. I had more expectations from her. Also why did the camera zoom to show close up of her beaded jewellery ? What was the need ? 🤔

Krishna's entry with the Achyutam keshavam... background music was sweet and as usual the track is divine. I liked the whole scene. Such creative liberties are acceptable as they hardly hurt any sentiments. One weird thing was Kunti unable to recognize her nephew. Did they never meet ? Wasn't Krishna quite popular and unique (his bravery, complexion and other beauty aspects) to be easily recognizable. Of course we can't put so much logic in this show. Nevertheless their encounter was sweet. You have to give it to sumedh for blending into the scenes with actors much older than him. His response to Bheem was hilarious. Even the other actors showed quite an improvement. The Aunt-nephew conversation was done really well.

In the last few seconds, we saw Draupadi. She isn't half as bad as she looked in the promo. Extra points for taking a dusky acress;Draupadi was dusky or rather dark. I won't be surprised if she turns out be a Bengali. She has that Bengali beauty kinda thing going on. She is pretty, not charismatic like Pooja but much better than those pale and skinny Draupadis of other shows.

We are about to witness a new saga of Sakhi prem girls ! Itni shiddat se kabhi Krishna ne Radha ko bhi explain nahi kiya jitna Draupadi ko kar diya. Itna dhyaan Rukmini ya Satya par de diya hota toh aaj humare Krishna Papa ban gaye hote.

Brace yourselves for a love triangle :- Madhav+Panchali+Parth.

What a lovely writeup KrishnaYes, Krishna taught more lessons to Drau than to his own lover Radha, or to his queens! Getting myself ready to witness this new love saga of Arjun and Krishna!!

Episode -5

Surprisingly these fresh new episodes are not getting into my nerves like the older ones. This inclusion of Mahabharta is a breath of fresh air.

It's high time they give Radha either the respectable closure that she deserves or a much needed respite from her in-laws. Let her retire from this materialistic world and create a peaceful abode somewhere in the serene seclusion of mother nature where she can meet Krishna whenever she wants and do raas or go on a kheer eating date or swinging date or whatever. Just make her get rid of these vulnerabilities. Even a human Meerabai mustered more courage and defied every odds to be with her beloved. Why can't the divine Radha do this ? Let her realize her true self and rise above every pain and sorrow. This Radha is oh so miserable that you can't tolerate it anymore. If you look at Draupadi for example, you will find her to be an exciting woman, you would catch fancy for her, you would like to know more n more about her even though you already know her story. On the other hand if you see this show's Radha, you will find her to be a dull doll trapped inside a never-ending circle of despondency. They never really made her interesting to begin with. Her personality was an amalgamation of other people's action and her reactions to those actions. She never really had a character progress. She just went from a loner to a stoner. She is just a pretty petite girl with no life, no will, no romance, no dreams and infact no pain of separation at all. What is she is beyond me at this point. A major part of real Radhakrishna's story is viraha but here these two are hardly separated. Even a human like us would have a much admirable love story than these two ! And I'm not kidding. Most of us have felt separation more than this show's Radha and Krishna that too without the magical presence of our beloveds around us. Also the kind of petty narratives this show peddle is totally wrong. Why make Rukmini/Satyabhama/Jambavati and to some extent Ayan victims of an unreciprocated marriage ? Don't marry in the first place. Why this show is so hell bent on showing Krishna as an one woman man ? It's not okay to sneak out at night and have a surreptitious rendezvous with your former flame while you are still in a legal marriage no matter now parishuddh you prem is it's just not okay if you are keeping your partner in dark. This is not something Radhakrishna's love should teach the world. Their eating scene was boringly overstretched. He (krishna) had no problem devouring on the food at his aunt Kunti's home and here all of a sudden he is doing such nautanki ! They are divine beings for God's sake, these people need to stop overhumanizing them. A crybaby Krishna at this crucial juncture is the last thing we want to see. He already has broken the records of Devdaas. Can't deal with his majnuism anymore. Have mercy on us !!!

They got a good actress for Shikhandini's role. Draupadi is good too. Let's hope she will deliver the kind of results we are expecting from her. As of now she is still a naive princess far from the woes of life.

In this episode, Drupad expressed disappointment for the absence of Hastinapur royals in Draupadi's marriage. He said his kingdom has some excellent relationship with the kuru clan. Weren't they arch rivals ??? Also who is this Kalinga raaj ? Another fiction ? Drupad kind of wanted Draupadi to narry Arjun no ??

The precap is sort of weird. Can't they(sakha sakhi) do some wireless magical calls like they always do. Ye aadhi raat ko jungle mein milke dusron ki zindagiyaan discuss karne mein kaun sa mazaa aata hai !

Yes, Krishna visited Indraprastha with his wives and again he visited Pandavas during their exile with his wife Satya and the convo between Draupadi and Satya was very famous.

When Krishna and Satya met Pandavas at kamyaka Vana,Satya peeps into Draupadi’s kitchen and helps her in preparing some dishes. After serving the dishes, the two Sakhis escape the hermitage and go for a walk along the banks of a very beautiful lake. With hearts full of joy the two ladies laugh and sing merrily and seat themselves at their ease by the lake. Having met after a long time, they begin to gossip upon various delightful topics, particularly about their husbands, mothers-in-law, other in-laws, co-wives and neighbors.😊

Satya asks Draupadi, 'One thing makes me very curious. How do you alone rule the heart of the Pandavas? How is it that even after so many years they are so obedient to you and are never angry with you? Tell me Panchi, the reason for this. Is it the practice of vows, or asceticism, or incantation or drug at the time of the bath or the efficacy of science, or the influence of youthful appearance, or the recitation of particular formulae, or Homa, or collyrium and other medicaments?’

Draupadi has a hearty laugh, ‘So you want to find a recipe to tame Krishna.’

Satyabhama is serious, ‘You know very well what sort of man he is!’

It is a very interesting topic to write a new story.

Whom do they love? All except Partha and sometimes Bhima loves the myth-woman through my image. Bhima’s stormy passion reduces me to a woman, and nothing but a woman; I have the immense pleasure of a small boat floating but with confirmed safety and security in a tumultuous ocean! Partha makes me a human being and breaks the confinement of my woman-self! We play as two fellow human beings only with different biological systems for each other’s advantage and enjoyment! Without my encouragement and constant encouraging words, Yudhi’s potentials remain unrealized; Nakula wants to be a sea-bird surrendering to the sea, and Sahadeva is a skylark soaring high in my sky! How intelligent our phenomenal Yangyaseni was Didi ! No wonder the five brothers were head over heels in love with her. Didi, i even think may be they somewhere in their hearts actually wanted to be with this unparalleled beauty and somehow Kunti sensed this and asked Drau to accept all of them. Just my theory.
