Are you talking about Rasleela or the cloth stealing part of Rasleela?

Both are there in SB as far as I know.

But Krishna was 8 yr old there.

Cloth stealing there is in SB. Rasleela I am not sure.

But the issue which I find is that SB doesn't show that the women whose clothes he stole looked at him as son, there the girls most probably were nearly of his contemporary age. However This happens before he stops the Indra worship to start with worship of Govardhan which in turn is before his movement to Mathura n killing of Kansa at the age of 11 hence I do feel that this cloth stealing thing would have happened around the time he was 6-7. I don't think this should be taken negatively

"Ashtam barshe padarpan" in Bengali. I have only read the children's Bengali translation of SB.

I have also read Krishnacharitra by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay.

But none I remember clearly. Though I remember the ashtam barsha part.

Rasleela of SB is metaphorical actually. Like the serial makers run a 200+ episode serial from a short story.

clothes stealing event--- No, Lord Krishna stealing clothes of Gopis is not mentioned in Mahabharata. However, this event is mentioned in Bhagavatha Purana .

The Padma Puranam (Pages 2112-2125) describes about the Foot Prints of Lord Shri Krishna.

Lord Shri Krishna performed His earthly Pastimes in Dvapur Yuga as follows:

Vraja Leela – 11 years 6 months.
Mathura Leela – 10 years 6 months.
Dwaraka Leela - 105 years 3 months

In His Vraja Leela, Lord Shri Krishna always finds great satisfaction in pleasing the gopies and mother Yosada with His Transcendental Pastimes, like stealing butter and yogurt, killing many demons, chastising Kaliya serpent by dancing on his hoods, delivering the two demods Nilakuvara and Manigriva, the sons of Kuvera, cursed by Narada Muni to become twin “Arjuna-Trees”, tending cows with coward boys. One day, Krishna’s playmates complained to mother Yosada that He had eaten earth. Wanting to show His mouth, Yosada maya was astonished to see the entire universe inside Krishna’s mouth.

OCTOBER 3, FRIDAY, 3222 B.C. - On the Full Moon (Kartika Purnima), Lord Krishna performed Rasa Leela with gopis at the age of 8 years 3 months while Radharani was 3 years 3 months only. (Radharani’s Date of Birth:- July 2, Sunday 3225 B.C. Vrishik Rashi, Vrishik Lagna, Vishakha Nakshatra)

But I have a problem accepting Radha as 3/4 years younger than Krishna, The story of Golok only described her as younger than Krishna, but in many scriptures, they described Radha as 7-11 years older than Krishna, And she was already married to somebody when Krishna entered the Nand home.

And Krishna was no child, and he has done many undefinable divine deeds since childhood.
