I don't know who directed the initial episodes, there was willingness on their part during those days to show he is inhumanly strong. Remember that scene where he was working out with the tree? 😂
I m not sure if it is the same team, but they avoid action as much as possible nowadays. Also their definition of action is men flying in air with harness.
Doesn't feel like the original plan was to make him stand in background if we take episodes from very start into consideration. But now things have changed. They will have him as blurry shadow in bg but they are insisted on his TOKEN presence everywhere. Weird.
As sukhi says, if they had to have Balram as just someone to be present and give expressions, they why did they cast basant? It could have been anyone.

@bold Ok ya see it was only 3. It would be 4 if you count pehlwan nritya. Ya there was that tree workout as well that never happened again. But still very few "bal" scenes for someone named BALram
@underline Indian tv show makers always do this. They take wonderful talent for supporting roles then eventually make them background reactors or treat them as a joke
