Hi, peoples!
Hope you're all doing well. Glad to have finally made my entry to B-BB AT#3. Wow - it's been only 2 weeks and you guys already got this almost halfway, to page 70! I hope you're all having a nice Chaitra Navratri!
Tusu, even though I haven't been here myself, thanks for including me by quoting me from AT#2 on page 2 here, and thanks for your congratulations. 😊 Also good to see Sukhi back on IF after a while.
I don't really have much to say about the current state of play in the show, so I'm just going to launch into a slight rantage before coming back to Balram and the Navratri Mela - please, bear with me! ⭐️

The writers had quite an interesting concept of eliminating obstacles/negative character traits but they still seem extremely confused about how to execute it effectively while maintaining the divinity and respect of the beings they are basing their characters on. This is unlikely to get better any time soon. It is a problem that Swastik Productions have in general with all their mytho shows (and quite likely their historical shows as well, but I haven't watched any of them so I can't comment). They do show some tidbits of interesting stories from the mythology/folklore that people may not have heard of before, but often times it is so distorted or wrapped up in weirdness that either people have stopped watching the show before getting there, or people just assume it is another piece of fiction completely dreamed up by the CVs. A prime example of this in RK is the story of Vyomasur - there is indeed a story of a bat-demon named Vyomasur who was killed by Shri Krishna, but the way that they incorporated Vyomasur into the RK show was so damn weird! Certainly parts of the show have been very funny and entertaining because of that but often times they have honestly been unnecessary and haven't even helped the CV's story to move forwards! (Some parts have been helpful, though, like Baldevi and Gopadevi.)
I find it hilarious how the makers keep parroting on that they are celebrating the divine love story of Shri Radha-Krishna through this show but that they themselves can't seem to see that there is hardly any (if any at all!) divinity or love in what they are showing now. This is where the actual comedy is! 😆 I wonder if they have realised even a tiny little bit how very disrespectful they actually have been to the characters they have based on Shri Balram, Radha, Krishna and many others in this show.
I appreciate the hard work of the actors and technicians, who are being worked around the clock and are doing a great job with whatever they've been given to do, 👏 but the show would be so much better if the CVs would actually write the show better and give them better stuff to work with!
I'm glad that, after having watched several of Swastik's other mytho shows, I went into watching RK with no expectations of them maintaining any actual divinity throughout the show - in that way I haven't been disappointed as I had no high hopes to begin with! I expected a highly fictionalised show, essentially a modern-day teenage story set in the olden times with the characters simply being named after revered and divine beings, with some sort of interesting but weirdly-executed underlying concept, some entertaining bits, some mythological/folklore stories, some flashes of brilliance, occasionally some interesting messages/things to think about, beautiful music, and some fantastic acting (given the actors that they have). And that is exactly what they provided! 😆 It is unfortunate that, despite now having access to more advanced technology in the way of VFX, sound etc etc, the standard of storytelling for mytho shows overall these days has slipped quite a bit compared to the earlier ones, with so much unnecessary creativity thrown in for no good reason along with the good stuff that they do put in! (This is strictly my opinion - feel free to disagree if you do.)
[I think all of you who have gotten to know me here know that, despite my relative apathy towards Swastik's mytho shows, I still chose to watch RK because I like to watch mytho shows and wanted to give RK a chance, and mostly because my favourite actor - Basant - is in it.]
Ok, rantage over - now back to the Navratri Mela!

I like very much that Balram is now speaking his mind against Radha's mistreatment of everyone etc rather than just being shown as scared of her or siding with her unnecessarily, like they have shown at times before. 👏 Why the CVs are hellbent on having Krishna essentially support Radha's arrogance and then burn in it/because of it later on, rather than actually trying to nip it in the bud now is beyond me and something best known only to them! 😕
From yesterday's precap it is obvious that lots of kids will turn up to the mela next week, and so Balram will be punished by Radha because he lost the challenge. Tusu, I agree with you: Radha must have taken Balram's idea and made mela entry free for kids, but of course, in her arrogance she will probably make out that it was her own idea!
And this Balram Ghoda Seva (Balram Horse Service) thing from the flag! Oh boy! I think Radha's stupid punishment for Balram for losing the challenge against her will be to make Balram behave like a horse and give rides to the kids on his back! 😕 And the CVs, in their infinite wisdom, will probably have Krishna laughing at Balram rather than actually doing anything helpful! This is the last thing anyone needs! What respect the CVs have for Shri Balram-Krishna - truly mindblowing! 😡
The painting of Balram is very nice, though - great work by the Art Director, who painted it himself! 👏
Basant does a fabulous job with what he is given but I really don't like the way Balram is mistreated and made the butt of jokes too often in RK. [This goes for the weird treatment of other characters in RK as well - even Ayan's being put in his place may be entertaining and what he deserves according to how they have him behave (Ayanasur's kaalik lepan was damn funny - especially Balram's dance and garlanding Ayan aftwerwards! 😆), but having Ayan be that way is so unnecessary in the first place (too much unnecessary villainy for my liking)!] This is one of the reason's that Kartikeya from Vighnaharta Ganesh is my favourite character of Basant's - the CVs there know how to properly treat all the divine characters they are dealing with! ⭐️
I swear, Balram should just take the form of a snake and go sleep in the forest somewhere. That way no one, including Radha Rani, will be able to annoy him if they can't find him! And if they do happen to find him somehow then he can just scare them and move somewhere else! They've put so much other strangeness in the show - why not this??? 🤣
