Arey waah, aaj kal we are getting new promos with quite the frequency...nice😆

WU: Radha is trying to light a diya in front of Narayan ki murti but it extinguishes. She sees Krishna standing to the side and says to him that she wants to light a diya mann se for Narayan...Krishna snaps his fingers and the diyas light up😆...Radha gets super impressed and they exchange a smile, but then he disappears and Radha looks around searchingly. The camera pans away to reveal diyas arranged to spell out "moh" in Hindi. The voiceover says, "Radha ko ab Mohan ke Moh ne hai saadha".

Nice promo :)

You're welcome! :)

Re: attachment. Good question. Lol I guess as Krishna explained in Saturday's epi, true and pure love by definition is about being free, not being caged. Moh or attachment inevitably cages a person sooner or later. Initially it's a high. It feels good. But if it continues, it traps you. And that is the antithesis of what love should be. It shouldn't trap you, it should free you from cosmetic trappings and free your spirit. Not cage it.

That is what Krishna will now attempt to teach Radha I think. Not that she can't love him. But it has to be a love beyond moh and maaya. Right now Radha's attachment to him is more cosmetic in nature. He wants her to rise above that.

There was a lovely Krishna Vaani about this in the early epis too where Krishna gave the example of how parents sometimes end up holding back and caging their children out of an extreme sense of attachment or moh.

i love what you wrote about attachment..i guess that is what krishna trying to say...this message about loving without attachment was also made during the gita recitation to Arjun before the start of the war..when Arjun weakens at the thought of waging a war against his own family..infact i feel a lot of krishna's from the gita is already being used in this story...

u know when the show started i was apprehensive of what will they show...cos frankly radha-krishn is a very small chapter in krishna;s life..his main purpose of taking the avatar begins when he leave for hastinapur...i do like the way they have taken the story so far but i feel in future they might take creative liberties to show radha's relevance in krishna;s life..i hope they don't ..i hate it when mythos go haywire in the name of entertainment..but so far the show is going good...touchwood:)

@bold..the krishna vaani was my favourite part and i feel it was quite relevant..also the episode when krishna supports the lovers and says how it is wrong on the parent's part to expect their children to live according to their wishes...indian parents esp treat their kids as an investment sometimes...i have spend so much time and energy on them how dare he/she marry the person of their choice? so sending a message like this through krishna was really a good job by the makers..

I don't know how they'll treat 'moh' here, because Krishna is moksha himself, and moh towards Krishna means attachment to moksha and therefore attachment to nothing. In fact 'Krishna-laalasam' has been hailed in shlokas like Krishnashtakam!

sadaiva pda-pakajam madya-mnase nijam

dadhnam uttamlakam nammi nanda-blakam

samasta-dosa-osanam samasta-loka-posanam

samasta-gopa-mnasam nammi krsna-llasam

(Always, who places his lotus-red feet on my heart,

That little boy of Nanda Maharaj,

The one who absolves us from sins, and takes care of us,

I pray to the attachment to Him, that is present in the cowherds' minds!)

All stotras, shlokas, stuties, are written after people knew about His Divinity.
The phase shown in the show is much before that time period.
Its like learning lessons during the process of understanding, realising, different qualities, while appearing in test to know about bhaya, moha, maya, matsar etc.
The result will surely lead to Krishna- The Purushottam, leading towards Moksha. But before achieving moksha, many other stages needs to be passed. Its a long journey.
Here The Teacher is teaching but in a flow.
Though its an interpretation but the journey is quite enjoyable.

^So well put, Di. I've no problem, in fact I am enjoying the current track but still a part of my mind isn't so satisfied because by my interpretation Radha should not be facing this because she remembers or not, her heart has space only for Krishna and before him, these moh or bhay really don't stand a chance! :S

Still I get they're trying to put across a message and I definitely appreciate that. :D

True protitee. All who have some knowledge about radha- krishna, may have similar feeling. Thats why mythos are best viewed without any expectations. Accept the good and forget the rest.
