I am yet to experience stardom: Basant Bhatt

I am yet to experience stardom: Basant Bhatt

Basant Bhatt, who enjoyed a stint in theatres before the plump offer of playing the teenage Karn has come long way. The actor is currently enthralling audience as Balram in Star Bharat's RadhaKrishn.

He says, "I did theatres and also worked as a personal yoga instructor when I bagged my first show. I was more than happy to take up the role. Now, I am really enjoying the experience of playing the role of Balram. I began my career with a Swastik show and doing a series with them again is an amazing experience. Siddharth sir has been like a friend. He has taught a lot and the entire production team is very good. Working with Swastik is like home coming for me.

"Balram is not just a character, but the symbol of a common person for me. His challenges have made him a hero. Thanks to my directors and team, I was capable of pulling it off. I read books on Balram, and discussed a lot with my creative to get the right detailing, Basant adds.

Talking about the preparation for the show, he shares, "I just worked on my body. I did a lot of workout to get a perfect body for the role. However, I am yet to achieve the goal that I have targeted for myself. I am working towards achieving that goal.

When asked about the turning point in his life, he avers, "I have been in this industry but I am yet to experience stardom. I am in the learning process. I want to be known for my acting talent and a character which viewers remember all their lives.

On an ending note, he says, "Sumedh is a brother. He is great performer and it is pleasure working with such bunch of talented people on sets.

Well said, Basant!

IMO he's got perfect body now, he looks strong by the look of it. too much masculine body tends to make one a bit older.

Tarkasur marega jab uska time ayega! 🤣 I think it will take at least another week or two, possibly a bit longer.

Tusu, I forgot to say before, the Balram-Ayan edit looks nice and so do the new titles with the red and blue borders. A good, subtle way to get some blue into the colour scheme. 👍🏼 Looking forward to seeing what you end up doing to the title tag/banner, if you're still planning to make some changes to it.

And common, if he is Sheshnaag, then how is he having zero knowledge in love, Cvs? What about Nagalakshmi? 😛

Dakshayani (hope I got the spelling right - sorry if not!), I don't think Nagalakshmi exists for the CVs in the RK Universe!

Now that we are about to see Mahadev in RK, I would be very highly amused if they showed Brahmadev in Brahmalok at some point with an audience of devtas, gandharvs etc, and with Revati and her father standing off to the side/in the background. 😆 I'm not sure if they are planning to show much in RK after Krishna and Balram move to Mathura, Kans's death etc etc, so I assume that Revati isn't going to be in the show, but you never know what they will do!

I just hope, given the CVs LOVE for over-fictionalisation, that they don't randomly have Revati/Nagalakshmi disguise herself as a gopi and come to visit Balram in Vrindavan! Especially if this is at the suggestion of Brahmadev! 🤣

Seeing as they haven't shown any of the cool things they could have shown in the show about Balram's birth story or Sheshnaag wanting to be born as the elder brother this time around, etc etc, and that they don't really show/use characters like Nand, Yashoda and Rohini properly, I really hope that they don't do anything random like this!

You got it right, Arti. Dakshayani or Daakshaayani, both are correct. 😛
I too doubt whether Nagalakshmi exists or not in this show, and I'm sure we will not get to see actual story of Revathi Bhabhi and Dau (that's how I call them 😛) but there are other versions out there in which she was a normal princess like others. So I don't mind her having to cross through Vrindavan to travel somewhere, and gets to meet Dau. I'm planning to make an edit on this scenerio but still hunting for the actress who suits her role for pics. I think positive fictionalisation is good, but not these Jatila Putra Ayan chronicles. 😡
Your idea is good too, lol. 😆

All, I don't know whether you are interested or not, but I've a suggestion. Why not discuss the real Balram? I got this idea after reading the Basant article posted by Tusu. Balram is so underrated, unexplored and even though he was Krishna's soul, I don't see any Krishna devotees revering or remembering him much which is very disheartening. He is a very interesting character as well, as simple as he was. There are misconceptions about him too. So by discussing about him, we can learn more about him. What you guys have to say?
