TOI All's not well in Ekta-Kanan's paradise?

Kanan Malhotra of Rab Se Sohna Isshq fame tends to be in the news more for personal than professional reasons and if rumor mills are to be believed then there is yet another tale on his personal life.

The buzz goes that the young lad's relationship with co-star and fiance'Ekta Kaulis on the rocks.


Sources from the sets inform that Kanan has been facing a tough time in his personal life. His relationship with his fiance' Ekta is at an all time low. The root cause of tension between the couple is said to be the growing closeness between Kanan and his co-star Neha Janpandit who plays his boss on the show. Kanan and Neha are usually seen chatting and spending time with each other on the sets. Ekta is said to be upset by Kanan's alleged link-up with Neha and this has taken a toll on their relationship. Apparently these rumors have created a rift between Ekta and Neha due to which there is an underlying tension on the sets. In fact the two actresses have even stopped communicating with each other.
In the past, Kanan was linked with actress Chahat Khanna who played the role of Ayesha in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain. After having an ugly spat they both parted their ways and Chahat recently got married.

When contacted, Ekta Kaul, said, "Even I have heard rumors about Kanan and Neha but I know these are just baseless rumors and there is nothing to it. I know they are just good friends unlike Ashish and me. So when two people are good friends in entertainment industry we get to hear such news. I usually don't have too many scenes with Kanan so I don't know what is happening on the sets. I know Kanan very well and I trust him and I hope these are just baseless rumors."

We also called up Kanan who had a different version to say, "Ekta and I are very much together and there is nothing like this happening. In fact, Neha and I are professionals, just like any other normal co-stars. We are not at all best friends, we come on the sets, do our job and leave. I spent most of my time with Ekta whether it is having lunch together or the time we get in between shots. I don't know who is spreading these rumors."

When contacted, Neha said, "There's no truth to this news. Kanan and I are just good friends and they is no bad blood between Ekta and me. All I can say that Ekta and Kanan are happy with each other."
