Part three~

(the text in bold is Jazz's POV in her diary)

Sahiba couldn't interact much with Ranveer as Mr.Pal, Jazzbir's dad was present along with them. He was a nice man, she observed. Jazz seemed nice too, but she just couldn't decide. She needed to read the dairy.
It was later that night, when she excused herself from her room, silently praying that Daljeet Ji wouldn't wake up, she made it into the guest room and closed the door.
She then seated herself beside the bedside table and resumed reading Jazz's dairy.

12 July 2012

Its such a boring day. I decided to hang out wid friends at a pub. There was this Indian guy, ready to irritate me like always.
Dad seemingly had advised this freaking waiter, not to give more than three pegs of whisky.

There he was loitering by the table close to mine, flashing his lazy grin as he stomped over to me.

Git! He walks like he owns this bloody place, I thought and sniggered.

"One more.. " I said in a commanding tone to which he obeyed.

He brought five pegs.

"Five?" I shrieked. It was obvious he dint count me in.

"Excuse me, where is my drink?"

"Woh toh tumne peeliya yaad nahi?"

I rolled my eyes at him. I was not totally drunk, just a bit.

"Is this the way you treat your guests? Now give me my drink or search for another job!" I yelled.

This guy just smiled. I forgot his name, I wanted to hit him badly for giving me that sugary smile. What was his name? Gosh I tend to be forgetful sometimes..

"Ranveer... "

Ranveer yes, I mentally thanked him for assisting me here.

"Koi bhi Veer ho! Did my dad offer you money for doing this? I'll give you the double amount! Get my whisky now!!!"

I was so pissed off, that I dint care I was shouting.

The manager was there, apparantly trying to console me.

Finally, the Ronnie guy agreed and he brought me my drink.

"Next time, you better be careful!" I warned him, enjoying his discomfort as he stood there, by my table, glaring at the manager who probably was teaching him some manners.

"Another one.. you will get me right?" I asked Ronnie or Ranveer that he says he is.

"O peele tu! Mujhe ki farak padi hai.. Ab tu talli na hojay bas, yahi chahta tha main.. Tujhse koi lena dena nahi hai!" Ranveer shrugged and left.

I cringed. 'Kisi ko bhi mujhse koi lena dena nahi.. no one cares for me, not even dad.'

Tears formed in my eyes. Why is this Ronnie getting under my skin? Why won't these tears, the pain stop even after seven pegs of whisky?? Why?!
I quickly bade my friends good bye and grabbed my car keys. I threw thousand pounds on the table before I walked out.

The road was fuzzy, all I could see was bands of colorful lights. What's wrong with the road? Okay, may be I'm a bit over drunk. Then there was sudden blinding light and SCHWAM!

The next day I woke up in what seemed to be a hospital, my head was hurting. Dad was there beside me, smearing my head as he cried. Bratty old man, can't he leave me alone.
God, he was irritating me even than that Ranveer guy.

"Jasbir beta! Are you okay?" he asked me.

"Yes dad! I'm not dead! That was a silly accident!" I told him sternly.

He was sobbing suddenly, pleading me not to drink and drive, thanking Ranveer for getting me here right in time.

"Ranveer?! Usne mujhe yahan le aaya? I tell you dad! He's after your money! Why will he save me everytime.. we hardly know each other.."

Dad smiled. "Rishtey bahut ajeeb hote hai beta... You dont need to be a relative to save someone.. Ranveer is a nice boy.."
I was sick of hearing dad's words and so I stromed off, "Dad.. aap yahi raho aur uski tarif karo..(Dad I'm leaving! You stay here n praise him.) "

16th July, 2012

I'm feeling better. Two days of stay at home did wonders, though I'm not found of this place called 'home.' Its party time again. Its my friend Anna's birthday and I ought to be there.

I nearly searched the whole house for my car keys and was peeping under my bed when there was a knock.

Mr. Hal informed me that Dad wanted me there in the living room. I stomped my foot in anger and rushed there.

"I called you here, beta.. to inform you that I've appointed someone as a driver.. lets say a driver will take you everywhere you want to go.."

I fumed at Dad's words, "what the hell dad? I have my own driving license and I pretty well can drive... "

Dad just gave a weak smile, "Jazbir beta, I can't stop u if u want to go anywhere.. You are a free bird and I can't control you, though I want to. But plz beta, accept my decision.. I don't want to loose my only daughter due to any accident. And I dont want anyone to be killed because of your rash driving. "

I snorted. So, dad was scared about that accident thing that day. I was still weak, I noticed and I was running out of time.

I nodded, giving my acceptance to dad's proposal. I will keep this guy for a while and then drive him away, I decided. Dad felt very happy.

I walked out of the house, just in time to see a guy standing with his back facing me.

"Are you an Indian?" I asked him out of curiosity.

He turned around in filmy style and I yelled, "tum???"

He too shrieked, "Jajjbeer.. tum?"

I rolled my eyes, " dekho Ranveer, I swear if you are trying to impress my dad and get some money then I'm gonna kill you! Tum mere gaadi ka driver banoge? Do you even know how to drive a BMW?"

"Oy madam! Maine toh ithne vadde vadde gaddiyan chalayi.. aap kya jano... waise bhi oh.. Pal saab ne sirf yeh kahan ki gaddi chalaana hai.. mujhe ki patha yeh teri gaddi hai... (I dont know I have to drive your car..)"

God! I hate this Ranveer guy. Why does he keep bumping into me?

"Don't lie to me.. Just get away from here.. " I ordered him.

He shook his head, "ab Pal saab ko bataake hi jaaoonga.. "

I sighed as I simply pulled open the back door and got into the car. I lowered the window and asked him to sit in his seat.

"oxford street lejaao, jaldi... "

And we drove away from the place.

"Sahiba ji... what is that u r reading?"

Sahiba came out of her trance and closed Jazz's dairy.

"Its a novel.. Jazbir had given me.. " she lied.

"sahiba ji.. its 2am.. you need to sleep. "

Daljeet pulled out the dairy from her hands and thrust it into a desk. sahiba nodded and they went to get some sleep.
