TOI: Ektas a quick learner

Completely changing one's career may not be the easiest thing for everyone. But Ekta Kaulhas had the courage of taking the step and shifting from marketing to acting. While the shift may prove difficult for some people, Ekta is all set to prove herself in this industry and make a place for herself in people's hearts.

Speaking about her shoots, Ekta says, "With no formal training in acting, the whole process has so much learning for me every single day. With a director like Mohit Jha and such supportive cast members, I'm learning quickly. Be it the right camera angles, how to take light, the way to control my body language... when to underplay things and when to go all out with full force in terms of emoting."

Ekta is giving her 100% to acting. With the long shoot schedules, Ekta also fainted on the sets once when they were shooting in Punjab. But that did not deter her from her job. She says, "It is hectic, no doubt. Yes, I fainted in Punjab because the heat there was unbearable in the period that we were shooting our 20 days schedule for the show. But, I guess one just brushes these incidents away and focuses on the larger picture."
