The bullet sound shook Asad. He was heavily sweating.
"Ammi are you okay? " He asked.
No reply to his answer emerged. He drooped the mobile and ran as fast as possible.
"Agar kisi ko kuch hogaya to main Ms Faroqui ko kabhi maaf nahi karunga. Hamesha unhe sab ke liye humdardi dikhani hoti. Aaj unhone foolishness ki had par kardi. "
Such thoughts crept in his mind.
The door was wide open. Loud cry of Najma was audible. Asad slowed down his steps. He stood at the door.
The world seemed to turn upside down for him.
Zoya was lying down in a pool of blood.
Najma rushed to Asad.
"Bhaijjan dekhiye na Zoya ankhe nahi khol rahi hai. Kuch kijiye Bhaijjan. "
Asad had turned deaf.
" bhaijaan " Najma jerked him.
"Asad maine ambulance ko call kardiya. Kuch hi der main ata hoga. "
Asad moved towards Zoya. He took her head and placed on his lap.
"Miss Faroqui uthiye. Zoya ankhe khol. Aap aise nahi kar sakti. Zoyaaa" he cried bitterly.
City Hospital. ...
Zoya was taken to the emergency ward. Asad, Najma and Dilshad were indulged in crying.
Doctor comes out.
"How is she? Wo teek Ho jayegi na? "
" Abhi kuch kaha nahi ja sakta. "
A tear rolled down his cheek.
"Unhe dawa se jyada dua ki zaroorat hai"
Dilshad sat down. Najma consoled her.
Asad kept his hand oh the wall.
"Agar puri duniya khatam hogaye aur sirf Aap aur main bache, tabhi main apse baat nahi karunga."
He recalled their moments.
"Aap najane kab yahan se roosat Hongi? "
He punched the wall.
"Aap musibat magnet hai. "
